5 Local Beauty Moments 2025

<p>The year 2025 became one of the boldest and most diverse years that delivered, served, and slayed hard with the beauty launches. From amazing innovations that could rival our favorite lip kits to iconic collaborations that had all of our jaws dropping, this year was such a moment to remember.</p><p>And because the local beauty scene continues to expand and improve its products, we were spoiled with surprise after surprise on a monthly and even weekly basis! While the &quot;clean girl&quot; aesthetic continues to dominate the beauty market, we’ve seen a great comeback of mattifying products: The iconic matte lipstick, pressed powders, powder blushes, and setting powder that doubles as a color corrector. </p><p>This doesn&#x27;t mean dewy girlies took a back seat. Glass, jelly skin was still on our radar, and so was the &quot;Soafer Latina&quot; look—fierce, expressive makeup looks that brought sexy back.</p><p>Whatever your preference, the year 2025 was huge for local beauty. This event followed a successful marketing initiative that had previously stunned the local beauty industry: Scoring a free pressed velvet blush product that had not met packaging standards, yet still delivered on pigment and slayage. This was a revolutionary thing to do for a beauty brand—no wastage, and instilling transparency, and integrity.
