Learn about your unique skin type. - “Some products that work for some may not work for others and knowing your skin type will really guide you on what to look for in your products—whether to look for hydrating ingredients or ingredients to help with breakouts and vice versa.”@catriona_gray
Invest in a dermatologist. - “If you have the means, I would definitely encourage to invest in a dermatologist, even if it is for an initial consultation pa lang. Again, it helps to get a professional’s opinion on the condition of your skin.”@catriona_gray
Stick to brands that are dermatologically-tested. - “I think it always helps, though, to stick to brands that are dermatologically-tested, just to know that the ingredients that are in there are catering to things like sensitive skin, or making sure the ingredients in there really work for you and you’re not having to pay an arm and a leg.”@catriona_gray
Do not hoard a lot of products. - “Don’t allow yourself to be swayed so much by what is being pushed in the media, especially in terms of products because we are in a consumer society and you just end up hoarding a lot of products that maybe you might not like.”@catriona_gray
Embrace changes in your body and your skin. - “Embrace the journey that is your body and your skin because we also change. When I was younger, I used to break out like crazy when I was going through puberty. And now, my concern is I need to have SPF and I need to be able to look after my skin at certain times of the month instead of throughout the whole time.”@catriona_gray
