Road To The Dress: Behind Andrea Brillantes' Vixen Look For The ABS-CBN Ball 2023

<p>On September 30, the industry’s biggest stars walked the red carpet in Makati Shangri-la to celebrate the 2023 <a href="https://metro.style/campaigns/abs-cbn-ball" target="_blank">ABS-CBN Ball</a>. Appropriately, the dress code simply read “<a href="https://metro.style/fashion/trends/abs-cbn-ball-2023-dress-code-and-predictions/36306" target="_blank">black tie</a>” which means designers and stars alike pulled out all the stops to deliver the most memorable look of the night. Among the best dressed attendees was <strong>Andrea Brillantes</strong>, dressed by Michael Leyva, in a red evening gown that sparkled in every turn.</p><div><br/></div><p>In this <strong>Metro</strong> exclusive, fashion stylist <strong>Eldzs Mejia</strong> unveils the story behind Andrea’s vixen look. “Her look is a representation of her womanhood, her coming of age. From the color to the silhouette, it’s a celebration of her independence as a solo actress,” says Eldzs.</p><div><br/></div><p>In case you missed it, Andrea was recently spotted in <a href="https://metro.style/fashion/metrostylewatch/filipino-celebrities-in-milan-fashion-week-ss24/36322" target="_blank">Milan Fashion Week</a> where she attended the Spring/Summer 2024 shows of Versace, Prada, and Gucci. “Andrea’s style has definitely evolved into something that’s a bit more mature. She’s more confident and sure of herself. I’d like to say this is her reintroducing herself—the reintroduction of Andrea Brillantes.”</p><div><br/></div><p>To formally cement herself in the fashion world, Andrea debuts a jaw-dropping look at the ABS-CBN Ball. She wore a custom <strong>Michael Leyva</strong> gown that took over 280 hours to make. The gown feature roughly 50,000 Swarovski crystals hand-beaded by 15 seamstresses. To complete the vixen look, Andrea wore the most expensive set of jewelry in the history of the ABS-CBN Ball. The 320 million set which is now named “The Blythe Ruby”, was created by jeweler <strong>Drake Ibay </strong>of <strong>Luna By Drake Dustin</strong>.</p><div><br/></div><p>Now that is how you stand out!
