<p>The starriest night of the year, the annual <a href="https://metro.style/campaigns/abs-cbn-ball" target="_blank">ABS-CBN Ball</a> always draws a stellar guest list to grace the red carpet in an extravagant sartorial display. With a theme dedicated to black tie ensembles, interpretations spanned from traditional to contemporary designs. Some attendees took a literal approach to the dress code while some opted to dress in a more abstract sense. </p><div><br/></div><p>One of the designers who certainly made an impact with his creations this year is none other than <strong>Chris Nick</strong>. He’s the visionary behind the <strong>Best Dressed</strong> looks of <a href="https://metro.style/fashion/metrostylewatch/abs-cbn-ball-2023-best-dressed-women/36340" target="_blank">Sofia Andres</a> and <a href="https://metro.style/fashion/metrostylewatch/abs-cbn-ball-2023-best-dressed-men/36342" target="_blank">Tony Labrusca</a>. Known for his classic minimalist designs, fashion girls know that a Chris Nick ensemble is all about sex appeal. </p><div><br/></div><p>For Sofia’s look, Chris created an elegant evening gown that resembles elements of the tuxedo—his favorite article of clothing. “Sofia and I have grown to become the best of friends that’s why I chose her as my muse for the ABS-CBN Ball,” Chris adds, “We wanted to keep it clean and chic with a punch of sensuality—which perfectly represents Sofia’s personality.” Sofia’s evening gown is made of cashmere wool and features an oversized sash detail that resembles an undone bowtie. Chris completed her look with micro ribbons all throughout the dress. </p><div><br/></div><p>Many know Tony Labrusca as a bad boy but for the ABS-CBN Ball, Tony was dressed like a proper gentleman. “I wanted to give a twist of elegance to what one would consider a bad boy. I’m all for juxtapositions and this seemed like the perfect combo for Tony,” says Chris.
