The process behind her look was remarkable from start to finish. Her gown was a collaborative effort between Kathryn, Designer Mark Bumgarner, and Fashion Stylists Kimi and Boop Yap. In an exclusive interview with the stylish duo Kimi and Boop, they explained how the gown came about and why this collaboration is almost a year in the making.

“Kathryn is after a clean, sleek, and powerful look. She wanted to step outside of her comfort zone and try something new. Her gown reflected her willingness to push boundaries in terms of fashion, in film, and with her career in general,” says the stylists.

As someone who has done many red carpet moments in their career, Kathryn already has an understanding on what will work and might not work for her on the red carpet. “Kathryn is actively involved in the creative process and she provides valuable input and ideas. She also places trust in our opinion and expertise which allows for an easy collaboration in curating her looks.”

When it came to preparing for the ball, Kathryn and her stylists knew that they wanted to collaborate with Mark Bumgarner. “With just one meeting with Mark and his team, they immediately understood the look we're going for. Their collaborative and easygoing nature and the fact that we get each other made the entire process fun. We were all happy with the outcome and this is by far our favorite look for Kath so far for the ABS-CBN Ball,” says Kimi and Boop.
