Paying homage to the prolific history of the 501 jeans, Levi’s debuts The Greatest Story Ever Worn campaign to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the iconic silhouette.

Here in the Philippines, Levi’s prepared an immersive 501 experience to reintroduce denim lovers to the most coveted pair of jeans of all time.

“Since its creation in 1873, Levi’s 501 jeans have not only become a staple of fashion but have also carved a permanent place in our cultural history,” said Charisse Chua, Country Manager of Levi Strauss Philippines, Inc. Indeed, the 501s is an ever-expanding story—written and rewritten by everyone who wears them. To mark its 150th anniversary, Levi’s invited Filipino designers to reinterpret and reimagine the jeans according to their style.

In the gallery down below, take a look at the designs of Nina Amoncio of Antonina, Kendrick Cay and CP Garcia of Construction Layers, Abraham Guardian of ha.mu, Rik Rasos of Proud Race, and RJ Santos of Randolf Clothing. The designers explore modern spin-offs of the 501s by playing with its fit, washes, and colors.

From May 19 to 21, denim fans enjoyed exclusive customizations at the Levi’s Tailor Shop, styling sessions, live performances, and instant photo booths at MOA. You can still head to the Levi's store in Mall of Asia to customize and make memories with your own pair of Levi’s 501s now!

Nina Amoncio of Antonina - Antonina's Levi's 501 jeans were beautifully handsewn with this intricate draping. The designer reshaped the jeans by adding and twisting panels to create this illusion!

Kendrick Cay and CP Garcia of Construction Layers - Inspired by the found Levi's 501 jeans from the abandoned mineshafts that originated from the 1800s and 1900s, the designers of Construction Layers paid homage to the jeans' iconic history with this masterpiece.

Abraham Guardian of Ha.Mu - Abraham defines his work with Levi's as 'a beautiful mess, a strong force of energy, and spirit.' The designer truly knows how to make a head-turning piece.

Rik Rasos of Proud Race - Rik's designs speak of Filipino culture above everything else. For his 501 jeans, he was deeply inspired by the history of pageantry in the Philippines. He masterfully created a denim gown that featured an elongated fishtail silhouette. How beautiful!

RJ Santos of Randolf Clothing - RJ provided a fun experiment with his 501 jeans. He used paint, bleach, and tulle to create this fun piece!
