At the brand’s fifth anniversary celebration, Suki Jewelry co-founder Shar Cabigas lightheartedly shared with her audience that the business came to be because she listened to her “delulu”—meaning she and her husband took a leap of faith to pursue this passion project. Suki does away with the stiffness and formality that is often attached to the selection and purchase of fine jewelry. It introduces a new kind of attainable luxury that attracts the contemporary customer, all while refusing to compromise on the artistry and generations’ worth of expertise courtesy of its founders and the company’s craftsmen.

The cocktail event also marked the opening of Suki’s very first jewelry pop-up and piercing bar, as well as the launch of its newest design: the Mini Tati Doughnut Hoops. Guests milled about and mingled freely, dropping by the engraving station to get their Suki dishes personalized before trying on different pieces at the interactive vanity. Some even got their ears professionally pierced by Suki’s partner, Body Piercings by Mayo, which was definitely one of the highlights of the occasion. Canapes by Chef Jessie and free-flowing Tanqueray G&Ts kept the crowd feeling full and appropriately buzzed.

The new pop-up brings the brand closer to both existing and potential customers, allowing them to see Suki’s pieces up close, as well as try them on. The Mini Tati Doughnut Hoops are sure to be a new crowd pleaser. It’s a more compact but still playful version of the original design, available in 14-carat yellow, white, and rose gold. “Just as there is a significant demand for fun, easy, yet special jewelry, there is also a need to provide a fun, easy, and special piercing experience in the Philippine market,” Cabigas shared. “Options for piercing services are quite limited, too: you either have your piercings done in a tattoo shop or go for a gun piercing at a mall. Because of this, we saw the opportunity to fill that gap and provide luxury piercing experience through our collaboration with professional piercers.”
