Asian Superstars Converge At The Calvin Klein Global Event In Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan -  The hottest Asian celebrities and influencers have gathered in hip Terrada Warehouse in Shinagawa for the Calvin Klein Fall/Winter 2023 global launch in Tokyo, Japan. Spotted are actors and actresses such as Bright Vachirawit, known for starring in F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021) and 2gether (2020), along with Korean model-turned-actor Rowoon who recently starred in A Time Called You (2023)  and Destined with You (2023), Bollywood actress Disha, Cambodian actress Gingle Wang, Japanese actress Maika Yamamoto and Kentaro Sakaguchi, and Taiwanese actor Jin Hua Tseng, star of the hit Netflix drama Your Name Engraved Herein (2020). A fitting cast for the vibrant city that is Tokyo, which likewise embodies Calvin Klein's signature self-expression, sensuality, and confidence.

Also spotted was F(x)'s Amber Liu, singer Raisa, as well as Japan's Yohei Kawakami, vocalist of Alexandoros, Imase, and Daiki Tsuneta, the vocalist of King Gnu. Also seen were models Ryo Ryusei and dancer Koaru Sugawara.

The Philippines was represented by top photographer BJ Pascual, who worked with Calvin Klein Philippines and Store Specialists Inc. for the #MyTruth #MyCalvins campaign shot by Regine David in Tokyo in 2020.

Throughout the night, we saw the Calvin Klein DNA shine through their minimal, modern, and sensual design codes. Effortless style connected to the way people live, and elevated through the chic styling that we saw on the celebrities and influencers tonight.

Exciting Campaigns

Calvin Klein has been serving up some of the most exciting campaigns in Asia the past few months, starting with the Blackpink's Jennie and BTS's Jungkook campaign back in August, where they were joined by Euphoria actress Alexa Demie and American rapper Kid Cudi. Shot by Inez & Vinoodh, the photographs showed the dynamism and unique musical environments of each of the musicians.

Then there was the Calvin Klein Jeans campaign starring Thai actor Bright Vachirawit alongside model Maryel Uchida and Chinese actor Kuan Chen. Shot by Park Jong Ha, the images of the campaign had the stars embodying the sensuality and confidence at the heart of the brand.

F/W Highlights

Some of our favorite pieces from tonight's event renewed our love for the nineties, especially for the jeans. The 90s-inspired cuts were seen in different permutations: tailored, wide, slim, loose, and yes, oversized! Of course there's also the Authentic Straight Jeans for the classic jeans silhouette but we're calling it early: You need to add the '90s loose jeans in your rotation once again.

There's also the eye-popping violet wash seen in jackets, skirts, and jeans.

We also loved the innerwear as basicwear collection, so we spotted some wearing their underwear under jackets and pullovers, bralettes, soft rib tanks, and more.  We saw plenty of the stencil logo treatment for underwear, or the two-tone logo waistband.

Finally, a favorite are warm clothing: the ribbed knits and cardigans, as well as the thermal parkas and jackets. Perfect for traveling and the upcoming colder weather ahead!
