Meet 6 Of Cebu’s Most Stylish Young Personalities
Decked in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton, these young personalities signal the arrival of the fashion house in Cebu. Meet them all here!
The upcoming opening of Louis Vuitton Philippines’ first store outside Metro Manila is a significant moment for the brand and its prestigious clientele. Cebu, the Queen City of the South, has been chosen as the third PH location of the French fashion house. To signal the arrival of Louis Vuitton in Cebu, Metro Society and Metro.Style gathered six young and stylish personalities at Salon de Luxe for a night of fashion and glamor. These people have made their mark in Cebu’s fashion scene, in one way or the other. It’s only fitting to have them under one roof for Louis Vuitton!
Leading the stylish set is Metro cover girl Sofia Andres who has been making an impact with her Best Dressed red carpet looks and projects on TV. Digital content creators and real-life sisters Vern and Verniece Enciso have each called Cebu and Manila their home. Even when they’re miles apart, these two never fail to give us fashion moments on a daily basis. Lifestyle content creator Kryz Uy has always been a constant inspiration for her impeccable taste in fashion, shares what it's like to dress up in Cebu.
Also joining Cebu’s Most Stylish is Tiffany Primalia Tan, an Indonesian socialite, painter, and illustrator who recently moved from Singapore to Cebu. Her eclectic style makes her one of the best people to watch out for. Entrepreneur MJ Lhuillier completes the roster with his French-British-Filipino roots and his take on menswear fashion.
As we all get to know the different style stars and personalities, get a sneak peek of Louis Vuitton’s Salon de Luxe, the brand’s exclusive pop-up in NUSTAR-Fili Hotel Cebu.

Sofia Andres
Every girl remembers her first designer bag, it’s one of those memories you will always cherish! Sofia Andres remembers her first taste in luxury which was a Louis Vuitton Palm Springs backpack. She remembers working hard and saving up for it like it was just yesterday. Now, the bag sits in her closet along with a number of pieces she has proudly collected through the years. We won’t be surprised if Zoe’s first school bag will be Sofia’s vintage LV backpack!
Sofia’s current mood in fashion reflects in the way she dresses. Influenced by edgy and chic pieces, she finds power in soft tailored silhouettes and minimal styling. Her love for easy-going looks always come through whenever she’s spending time with her partner and daughter in Cebu. When dressing up for family occasions, she always goes for comfort with a subtle touch of elegance.
“I’m thankful for brands like Louis Vuitton because they help me find and understand my personal style,” Sofia continues, “It’s really helpful when they suggest which silhouettes fit my body best or which color compliments my skin tone. It feels like magic whenever we come up with a look.”
Vern and Verniece Enciso
It takes two to tango! Real-life sisters Vern and Verniece Enciso are known for their twinning looks but you would be surprised to hear the story behind how they found their personal style. “This shoot with Louis Vuitton made us reflect on how far we’ve come in the fashion industry. Five years ago, we had completely different styles! Vern would definitely wear what I’m wearing and vice versa [today],” says Verniece.
A closer look at their viral complementing fashion looks will make you realize that Vern and Verniece are two completely different style stars. Verniece now appreciates structured pieces and tailored looks. She has traded her colorful pieces for more muted ones that fit her current mood. On the contrary, Vern is almost always seen in feminine pieces like dresses, sprightly-colored handbags and shoes. Vern says that after turning 30, she began to fully embrace her femininity without being influenced by trends.
Vern’s style has significantly changed ever since she moved to Cebu with her husband. Her choice of accessories, clothes, and jewelry have gotten more pared down. “One thing about us Cebuanos is that we’re very laid back but when the occasion calls for it, we can definitely deliver!” says Vern. Even though they now live miles apart, Vern and Verniece always find time to raid each other’s closets in Manila or in Cebu. It’s a thing they’ve been doing ever since! The only rule is, whoever bought it first shall wear it first and of course take photos with it.
MJ Lhuillier
MJ Lhuillier banners everything we love about quiet luxury in menswear. The Chief Financial Officer of M Lhuillier Financial Services, who is famously quiet about his private life, gave us a glimpse of his personal style and current fashion favorites. When asked if he could describe what his typical day looks like, MJ shares that his job entails analyzing their business’ finances and reviewing many business sectors. “I go to the office every single day and it won’t be a surprise if you see me in an outfit that looks familiar. Wearing my go-to formal shirt, dark pair of jeans, and comfortable shoes is easier for me because I don’t like to think too much about what I’m wearing,” says MJ.
MJ lived in Europe for three years before moving back to Cebu about a year ago. Having to adjust with the country’s weather and work culture, MJ opted for a relaxed look he can easily dress up or down. “The good thing with a simple casual outfit is you can adapt well in many situations. From meeting employees, customers, to potential partners in our business, by being in a smart casual look, I’m able to transition and blend easily,” says MJ. If there’s one thing he likes to change up every now and then, it’s watches! His collection of timepieces provide a unique touch to his day-to-day looks.
He rarely shops for new pieces but when the situation calls for it, he likes to invest in items that will last him a lifetime. “Not too long ago I changed my work bag into a Louis Vuitton backpack and now that’s a piece that comes with me everywhere I go,” says MJ. During the shoot, MJ was charmed by a pair of LV Trainer Sneakers, it didn’t take him long to decide that he wants to add this new pair to his wardrobe!
Tiffany Primalia Tan
Tiffany Tan’s journey in fashion is quite a story to tell. Originally from Indonesia who has lived in Singapore for most of her life, Tiffany studied fashion for 5 years in Los Angeles, and only recently migrated to Cebu. She truly is a citizen of the world! She describes her style as eclectic since she always likes to complete her outfit with something unexpected. “I’m currently in the mood for playful prints and textures. Some of my favorite things to wear are a good pair of jeans, a top that holds so much design story, and an unexpected shoe to complete an outfit,” says Tiffany.
For her, fashion pieces are so much more than their price tag. Tiffany values the story that goes behind every stitch, weave, and mold. She appreciates archive clothing and re-editions of popular vintage bags. In fact, a bag that she still treasures up to this day is her Louis Vuitton Multicolor bag. “Louis Vuitton has always been one of the most interesting fashion houses because they’re always evolving and they’re always collaborating with current artists of our time,” says Tiffany.
Like her fellow Most Stylish personalities, Tiffany is excited for the Louis Vuitton’s store to open in Cebu. The store offers an array of pieces to wear and style. “There’s so much flexibility whenever I dress up here in Cebu, I can be in resort wear today and in a cool city look tomorrow,” says Tiffany.
Kryz Uy
The thought of raising children while also trying to keep tethered to your own life can be daunting but Kryz Uy has found the perfect balance between the two. The idea of balance, whether it’s between work and play or easy freedom and tight schedules, always comes to mind when it comes to motherhood. After navigating this new chapter in her life for quite some time, Kryz has realized that she can still be herself and make time for the things she loves while still catering to her two boys.
Her current mood in fashion is all about functionality, practical pieces, and comfort. “Now that I’m older, I’m more wise and a bit more frugal when it comes to buying pieces for my closet,” says Kryz. She usually gravitates towards items that she can wear multiple times for several occasions. When asked if she can look back at some of her favorite fashion moments from the past, Kryz laughed and said “My style before would be super trend-based and maximalist, but none of those fashion moments I regret because it helped me discover my own style and what fits me best.”
A trip down memory lane also made her remember the Louis Vuitton messenger bag that was gifted to her by her mom when Kryz was still in college. She says she can never truly part with it up until now! The way Kryz’s content has shifted from fashion and beauty to making a home is an inspiration to many. Once you’re a fashion girl, you’ll always be a fashion girl!
