#MetroStyleWatch: The Best Costumes At The Shake Rattle And Ball 2023
Inspired by Filipino folkore legends, these stars went all out for Tim Yap's Halloween party.
Last night, Shake, Rattle, and Ball took over the National Museum with its Halloween celebration filled with creatures deep from Philippine mythology.
The ball was hosted by none other than Tim Yap, a well-known advocate when it comes to forwarding Filipino culture. While he has held many Halloween galas in the past, it has become clear to him that from this year forward they will all be called Shake, Rattle, and Ball. This, of course, came from his deep-rooted aspiration of honoring and celebrating our local folklore and legends.
The guests of the ball did not fail to deliver. Just like in the long-standing Filipino stories, the National Museum was packed with beings both magical and frightful. From Andrea Brillantes’ scary manananggal look to Rei Germar's golden Oryol look, we really did see it all!

Andrea Brillantes
Co-host Andrea Brillantes made everyone’s jaws drop when she came out in her amazingly detailed and well-crafted Halloween look styled by Eldzs Meija. Blythe was dressed as Amalia, a character of her own creation who was born to be half encanto and half manananggal.

Tim Yap
Tim Yap stole the show as he dressed like an elderly woman in a black coat while holding what seemed to be a tiyanak. According to Tim, his costume was chosen in order to give honor to Lilia Cuntapay, the queen of Philippine horror in cinema.

Rei Germar was ethereal in her look, inspired by Oryol, a demi-goddess from Bicolano mythology who was the daughter of an asuang.
