target="_blank">Marriott Hotel</a> and was also shown LIVE in a Metaverse event. Michael, together with founders of <strong>Philippine Blockchain Week</strong>, advocates for the integration of blockchain technology in creative fields such as art, culture, and fashion. The show was made possible by Blockchain Technology, the same technology used for cryptocurrency and blockchain-based games.</p><div><br/></div><p> Warren Woon, Xctuality co-founder and CEO, whose company was responsible for bringing Michael’s creations to the digital world, explained that the gowns are so unique that it took some time to translate them into its digital format. “We wanted to bring together the physical elements of the gowns with the elements of the Metaverse and NFTs,” says Woon.</p><div><br/></div><p>The runway show ended with the models marching beyond the runway—signaling the arrival of Metaverse in the Filipino fashion landscape.</p><div><br/></div><p>Following the event, <strong>Dr. Sayed Ali</strong>, co-founder and managing director of Michael Cinco Couture, announced the launch of the designer’s first couture ready-to-wear collection, along with a jewelry and perfume line.
