EXCLUSIVE: Metro’s Fave Highlights From The Mens S/S '24 Show In Paris

Relive the Mens Spring/Summer 2024 shows through Metro's Fashion Week correspondent Paul Sunga.

One of the most prestigious fashion events of the year, the Paris Men’s Fashion Week, showcased some of the latest Spring/Summer 2024 collections from renewed fashion houses, promising designers, and upcoming labels. The packed six-day schedule was an intriguing display of fashion. We’re still on a high after taking in the most talked about menswear season!

In attendance at the Hermès, Loewe, and Sacai Mens S/S 2024 shows is Metro’s Fashion Week correspondent Paul Sunga. The Hong Kong-based international fashion and beauty photographer was able to experience menswear fashion week in the flesh.

Hermès Mens Spring/Summer 2024

Hermès menswear artistic director Véronique Nichanian presented an array of versatile vacation essentials made of technical fabrics, cashmere, silks, semi-transparent cotton and the perfect closed-toe sandals. Nichanian offered a more feminine approach to menswear by adding short shorts in leather and cotton to the collection. Palais d’Iéna's natural beige palette served as the show’s backdrop which was perfect contrast to the collection's desert, ice, and sage color palette.

The collection served as the perfect vacation manual for the modern gentleman. Whether he’s off to attend a summer wedding in Boracay, party in the Hamptons, or even to a casual date to impress their future partner, Hermès has tons of S/S 2024 looks to offer. Spotted at the show were Russell Westbrook, Jordyn Woods and Karl Anthony Towns.

Loewe Mens Spring/Summer 2024

For Spring/Summer 2024, Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson brought back '70s flare with sparkling and ultra high-waisted trousers. In attendance were Taeyong of NCT, Pharrell Williams, Emily Ratajkowski, Theo James, Murray Bartlett, Rauw Alejandro to name a few. The collection offers a line-up of shimmering jackets, shirts, and trousers paired with big handbags, round-toe footwear, and shiny sunglasses. The show flowed well with soothing water-spouting works by Lynda Benglis. Photogenic pieces are definitely made for a red carpet entrance or for anyone who wants to enter a room with a bang.

Sacai Mens Spring/Summer 2024

Sacai was the last show that had attendees reapply their sunscreen to avoid sun damage. Held at the courtyard of Sorbonne University campus, the collection presented matching jackets, shirts, and pants in either pinstripe, denim, or floral print. Out of the collection, my favorite pieces were the neutral colored suit and bomber jacket.
