Stress Drilon Is A Mood And We Can't Stop Laughing

In a series of unfortunate events, former Kapamilya broadcaster Ces Drilon teaches us through her new commercial how to handle disappointments: Cool off with a cup of milk tea!

She posted the commercial on her Instagram account on September 22nd. “Masaya ako na napasaya ko kayo sa aking pinagdaanang #stressdrilon,” she captioned her post, referring to the Pinoy slang used to describe someone or something that’s stressed or stressful. 

The ad starts with a minor inconvenience — Ms. Drilon mistakingly putting salt in her morning coffee, causing her to spit it out in disgust. As she continues her morning routine, she goes through more stress-inducing instances: her car tire punctured by a hammer (yes, a hammer, not nails), getting splashed with dirty water as a car drives by a puddle while she waits for a ride to work, and the coup de gras was her office security guard telling her that it was a Sunday, meaning she went through everything for nought.

In between each misfortune, the ad shows Ms. Drilon repeatedly stabbing a giant milk tea lid while yelling bleeped out expletives. The end of the ad shows her enjoying a cup of Coco Fresh Tea & Juice.

The gigantic milk tea is real, too, and anyone can vent out just like Ms. Drilon at the store’s branch at SM MegaMall Fashion Hall on September 24, Sunday.

The ad was conceptualized by Gigil, the ad agency behind several viral ads and campaigns, like the giant basketball activation for FIBA World Cup, hilarious Netflix videos about new shows/movies, and that weirdly funny and slightly disturbing RC Cola ad featuring the mom turning into a bottle of cola.
