Local Version Of Viral Dubai Chocolate Knafeh Is A Hit

Even if you’re not chronically online and only a casual resident of the internet, chances are you know about that viral chocolate on the internet. Yes, we’re talking about the FIX Dessert Can't Get Knafeh pistachio chocolate bar that’s only available in Dubai.

For a while, people all over the world actually made their own versions at home and posted their work on TikTok because it was so hard to get a hold of! Fortunately for those of us who can’t hop on a plane to satisfy the overwhelming sweet cravings or don’t know how to make it from scratch, a local dessert shop in the Philippines has come up with their own version. 

Bueno Barks is one of many shops who have made their own version of the viral chocolate. Their Crunchy Kataifi in Pistachio even has the signature teal and orange splatter design on the chocolate shell so visually, it looks the closest to the original Can't Get Knafeh pistachio chocolate bar. It’s also more affordable than the one in Dubai so you don’t have to pay upwards of a thousand pesos just to experience the pistachio knafeh goodness the dessert promises.

The small chocolate business already had a considerable following for their other best-selling desserts like their chocolate barks, cheesecake truffles, and even a CHOCONTROLLER– a crunchy handcrafted chocolate game controller.

But they really hit the big one with their Crunchy Kataifi in Pistachio! They only started pre orders on June 18 and until today, the chocolates are so in demand that there is a none on-hand, no advance order, no reservations, or same day deliveries policy. You can only pre-order from a form link that they post every Friday at 6:00 pm. It has to be noted though that the limited stock is not for hype but is due to limited manpower. Although their products are in demand, they are a small business and only operate with a small team and they do try to accommodate orders as much as they can.

Bueno Barks also occasionally participate in fairs and have a physical pop up. They are so loved that just recently, they were one of the merchants at the Spectrum Fair and the line was so long, it was in two rooms! Some people even waited two hours just to buy the chocolate bar!

How much is it and how can I order?

The Crunchy Kataifi in Pistachio is available in three flavors: Milk Pistachio (P695), Dark Pistachio (P750), and White Pistachio (P695). You can order the chocolate on their pre-order link that they post every Friday at 6:00 pm on their Instagram feed and stories.

Pick up date varies and will depend on the date you choose on their pre-order link. But it’s usually four days after the pre-order date! The chocolate bar can be consumed for at least three to four weeks and Bueno Barks advises refrigerating it before and after eating.

Alternatively, you can also get the kataifi crunch with a biscoff filling instead of pistachio with their follow up dessert concoction, the Crunchy Kataifi in Biscoff. They also released a limited edition Bueno Hazelnut Crunchy Kataifi Chocolate bar inspired by Kinder Bueno.
