Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has added another feather to her festooned hat (or, crown, rather). Recently, this actress, Metro Channel's Pia's Postcards host, entrepreneur, and podcaster achieved her dream of becoming a published author.

In collaboration with ABS-CBN Books and UK-based Tuttle Publishing, Pia launched her debut novel, Queen of the Universe, in September, and has been going on book signing tours since. Her next one is the first international leg of her tour, happening on November 5 in Design Orchard in Singapore.

But before this queen gets even busier, we threw an intimate dinner for her to celebrate her milestone as an international author and unveil her latest Metro covers. From the cover shoot held at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Quezon City to the gathering in Casa Buenas at Newport World Resorts, everything is aligned with Pia being the epitome of Pinoy pride with her global reach and influence.

To congratulate her on her recent accomplishments, there was indeed no better venue than Casa Buenas, a restaurant that offers Filipino cuisine with Spanish influences. Its interior has a warm and welcoming ambiance with its high ceiling and distinctively Filipino touches like capiz and solihiya. But, at the same time, Machuca tiles and statement chandeliers elevate the space to give it an intricate and luxe aesthetic.

Despite the grand architecture and interior decor, dining at Casa Buenas is remarkably cozy with the comforting familiarity of their dishes. They are fares Filipinos have always enjoyed as a family, and their sophisticated presentations are a definite treat for some visual feast.
