Metro Talks With K-Drama "Head Over Heels" Stars Cho Yi Hun and Choo Young Woo

In an exclusive <strong>Metro Talks </strong>conversation, <strong></strong><strong>Cho Yi-hyun</strong> and <strong>Choo Young-woo</strong> open up about their newest fantasy-romance drama <strong><em>Head Over Heels</em></strong>, sharing never-heard-before thoughts about the on-screen characters they’ve fallen for.</p><p>Webtoon-based K-drama<em> Head Over Heels</em> brings a fantasy twist to young love and fate. The series follows Bae Gyeon-woo (Choo Young-woo), a boy cursed with a tragic destiny, and Park Seong-ah (Cho Yi-hyun), a modern-day shaman. The rising Korean actress fully embraced the challenge, exclusively sharing with <strong>Metro.Style</strong>, “I knew if I could pull off this role, I would have a lot to learn and a lot to take away.” Her role in <em>Head Over Heels</em> goes beyond the surface, with layers of identity, responsibility, and personality.</p><p>Yi-hyun also shared what she really liked about Young-woo’s character: “From the beginning to end of the series, he has so many faces and charms to show,” she said. Gladly, the set of <em>Head Over Heels </em>was a comfortable space for both Yi-hyun and Young-woo. The two of them are also grateful to work with a kind director, <strong>Kim Yong-wan</strong>, and crew members. Yi-hyun described it as a “great blessing.” </p><p>Shamans and luck are at the heart of <em>Head Over Heels</em>. While Seong-ah and Gyeon-woo navigate fate and fortune in the series, we asked Yi-hyun and Young-woo if they believe in the same things their characters do. </p><p>“Looking back, when I was a new actor going to auditions, I always checked my horoscope after every audition that I got to,” Yi-hyun admitted, adding that she is fascinated by superstitions. “If it were less lucky, I would be disappointed. Even her voice and the way she speaks fit her,” he shared, adding that it was the best casting the production could’ve made.</p><div><br/></div><script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script><div><br/></div><p><em>Head Over Heels </em>clearly made a strong entrance. Its premiere on June 23 not only pulled impressive numbers but also claimed the top spot across all cable and general programming channels in Korea during its timeslot.
