'Freakier Friday' Actress Lindsay Lohan Talks About Growth and Mom Guilt as She Makes Her Career Comeback

Based on the 1972 novel of the same name by <strong>Mary Rodgers</strong>, the movie is about a mother and daughter who inadvertently switch bodies, quite literally showing a take on putting oneself in someone else&#x27;s shoes. The newly released sequel picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. You did a previous film, and now <em>Freakier Friday</em>. What personal growth do you feel most proud of?&quot;</p><p>To which, Lindsay answered, &quot;Personally, I think, I was genuinely a little nervous too and, like, trepidatious to know how it was gonna work, filming as, you know, a new mom with a baby at home and how that was gonna work out. Because I feel so much guilt when I&#x27;m not with my son every second. So I think I was really proud of how I was able to have good time management and accept that, like, it&#x27;s okay to go and do something that I love to do and then, you know, be home with my child and my husband and stuff. So that was, I think, a learning experience for me. It was the first time I&#x27;ve played a mom in a movie. I&#x27;ve filmed with my son. Second time, actually, I did it on <em>Our Little Secret, </em>but he was so much smaller. Is that something you&#x27;d say yes to?&quot;</p><p>&quot;I don&#x27;t know. He hasn&#x27;t displayed any traits of like—although he does, like, act a little sometimes, but I think it&#x27;s just a two-year-old thing. But I don&#x27;t know. I feel like right now he&#x27;s interested in dinos and, like, the most adult thing he loves to pay attention to is, like, tennis, because my husband plays a lot of tennis.&quot;</p><p><em>Freakier Friday</em> is directed by Nisha Ganatra.
