With her being charming, candid, and just crazy relatable, Bianca de Vera is every bit the Gen Z It-girl you’ve seen in Kuya’s house. Best known for her roles as Patricia Cunanan in 2 Good 2 Be True and Gwen Zhang in Unbreak My Heart, Bianca has proven she’s not just a pretty face from a well-off zip code. Her acting chops have earned her a seat at primetime&#x27;s table, straddling networks with effortless style and a rare kind of grace that makes her both a darling of the masses and a muse for the industry.But stepping into the iconic yellow house wasn’t about stardom for her, but rather about coming home to a long-held childhood dream. “Pangarap ko talaga siya,” Bianca confessed. For the once wide-eyed girl who watched PBB with wonder, entering as a housemate felt like ticking off the holy grail on her bucket list. “It’s such an honor for me. Fulfilling my childhood dreams, mga fantasy ko nu’ng bata pa lang ako,” she recalled with a giggle. Bianca de Vera is the first latecomer to the Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition who walked in a schoolgirl uniform, clutching pink hairclips and a kitty-like headband. Yet despite that, it didn’t take long before she fit in like a missing puzzle piece. “As a social butterfly, feeling ko hindi naman ako masyado nahirapan. Other than that, the housemates I was surrounded by this season were also so warm to me. Hindi talaga ako nahirapan makihalubilo sa kanila because they were all very nice; they were all so accommodating,” shared Bianca.But for the unica hija who grew up cocooned in her parents&#x27; comfort, the real challenge was the absence of her family. “S’yempre, only child kasi ako. So, sanay talaga ako sa comfort ng parents ko. Kumbaga safety net ko kasi talaga sila,” Bianca admitted, adding that it was the biggest adjustment she had gone through in the iconic house.Asked about what she considers the toughest stretch in her PBB stint, Bianca went down memory lane with the harrowing experience that the ”Secret Room Challenge” brought. It was where she and nine others were locked in a bare space with nothing but kamote to eat. “It was more of an emotional weekly task,” she said, recalling how both she and fellow housemate River fell ill. “Sobrang fear ko kasi talaga, number one is to be enclosed in such space. Tapos, number two ‘yung wala akong pagkain. So, talagang baliw na baliw ako noon. As in kaming dalawa ni River, I remember, nagkasakit kami. Nagka-fever kami,” Bianca divulged.“When I&#x27;m thinking about it now, parang proud ako sa sarili ko na napagdaanan ko ‘yun,” she added.<div> </div><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1756190395386metro exclusive pbb celeb collab bianca de vera embed 1a.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>Bianca de Vera, as photographed by Dix Perez</div><div> </div>Even with the breakdowns and physical strain, Bianca had also found her breakthroughs, saying, “The most rewarding time for me inside PBB was definitely the time wherein my duo Dustin [Yu] and I were able to go through all three job challenges.” In her words, leaving the house didn’t feel like defeat: “I mean, as contradicting as it sounds, hindi man kami nanalo, and kami man ‘yung naging last evictee, sobrang rewarding sa amin ‘yung premyo paglabas namin sa outside world.”“Although it&#x27;s true [na] not everyone loves us, and we&#x27;re not everyone&#x27;s cup of tea. Pero when we focus on the people who appreciate us, it&#x27;s definitely rewarding,” she remarked.There’s no denying she’s had her fair share of critics, especially when it comes to her budding love teams in the show. Now caught between two on-screen love interests, Will Ashley and Dustin Yu, who will be her co-stars in the upcoming film Love You So Bad, the Kapamilya actress isn’t playing favorites. “Well, I&#x27;m friends with both of them. I have different kinds of relationships with both Dustin and Will,” she explained. “Siguro sobrang swerte lang po talaga ako sa mga taong sumu-support sa’min talaga... I&#x27;m blessed with both fandoms, and of course, with both of them. Malaki ‘yung support system ko.” True to nature, her fans aren’t just shipping love stories—they’re organizing dog-centered charity drives in her name. “Sobrang nakakatuwa! At least alam ko ngayon na kilala nila ako by heart, and they know what would make me happy and what would really touch my soul,” she happily uttered.Reality shows may be cutthroat, but friendship can still bloom under pressure. For Bianca, that came in the form of her PBB bestie and eventual big winner, <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/metro-style/people/2025/7/30/metro-x-pinoy-big-brother-celebrity-collab-mika-salamanca-on-the-power-of-redemption-1755" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mika Salamanca</a>. “From the moment I got inside the house, alam mo ‘yung connection, ‘yung chemistry naman talaga na hindi pilit. From admiring Klarisse De Guzman’s wisdom and cool demeanor, to noticing how organized <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/metro-style/people/2025/8/1/metro-x-pinoy-big-brother-celebrity-collab-az-martinez-on-being-truly-seen-thanks-to-pbb-2005" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">AZ Martinez</a> was, to being touched by Shuvee Etrata’s heartfelt prayers following the loss of her beloved dog Peach—the house gave her a front-row seat to people’s goodness. But perhaps the most profound change happened within her. Bianca entered the PBB house feeling lost, a version of herself that she now barely recognizes. She revealed, “Hindi ko na talaga alam kung nasaan ako. Hindi ko alam kung saan composition ko sa sarili ko. I was really lost, and I was underweight. And I thought at the time, I looked good. Apparently, looking back, talagang kitang-kita sa mukha ko that I was going through a lot because at the time, I was really broken.”“Nu’ng pumasok ako ng PBB, it really healed me. Noon kasi, sobrang baba ng tingin ko sa sarili ko. But now, I find the value in myself. Mas natutunan kong makinig, hindi lang sa ibang tao, pero pati sa sarili ko,” Bianca de Vera realized.Being inside those famous walls broke her open in the most unexpected ways. As for her biggest takeaway, “It&#x27;s really patience. Patience, not just with other people but within myself.”That quiet resilience became her personal revolution. No longer just the “sassy unica hija,” Bianca de Vera stepped out of the house stronger, grounded, and more certain of who she is and what she deserves.Asked what’s next for her, the 23-year-old Bianca got real, saying, “With Bianca de Vera, pagpapatuloy ko lang ang laban ko. Hindi naman natatapos ‘yung laban ko inside the house.
