Welcome to <strong>G House</strong>, a picturesque private villa in the heart of <strong>Cavite</strong>, where this philosophy transforms into a recharging reality. Here, days stretch out languidly under the sun, and guests are encouraged to let go, breathe deeper, and rediscover the sheer pleasures of simply existing.</div><p>Located in the lush, rolling hills of <strong>Alfonso</strong>—a town that has managed to keep its soul despite its proximity to the busier Tagaytay City—G House is a breath of fresh air. “Unlike Tagaytay, which has become more commercialised, life here feels simpler, more grounded,” says co-owner <strong>Rocky Custodio</strong>. “We’re surrounded by vast fields and treated to magnificent sunsets—a bonus that most of our guests find themselves dreaming about long after they’ve left.”</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749282224215GHOUSE-08410 copy.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">The pool house at G House, where guests can play games, do karaoke, or simply lounge with pool views.</span></span></span></div><p>It’s no wonder guests return time and again, drawn not just by the cooler climate but by the calm that seems to wrap around them like a warm embrace the moment they arrive.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>From Clubhouse to G House</strong></div><p>G House began as a personal passion project for Rocky and his partner, <strong>Manny Gomez</strong>. “The project began in 2018 and was completed around the fourth quarter of 2019, just a few months before the COVID-19 pandemic hit,” Rocky shares. Originally intended as a clubhouse for <strong>Casa Devi</strong>, the villa underwent a dramatic transformation. “If we showed you pictures of what it used to look like, you’d see just how dramatic the transformation has been—it’s truly night and day.”</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749282506914GHOUSE-08389 copy.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">Clean and straightforward amenities that invite guests to relax fully</span></span></span></div><p>When the lockdowns started, what was meant to be a family hideaway soon turned into something more. Manny’s fascination with hotel management turned out to be the perfect spark: “We decided to start renting out the property to friends for some extra income. From there, we slowly developed the business model for this—from forming the house’s rules and regulations to securing the necessary permits. G House was our happy place, and we wanted to share that joy with others.”</p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>The Experience</strong></div><p>Upon arrival at G House, you’ll find a homey yet sensible space, and that’s exactly the point. “The house layout is intentionally simple: there’s the living room, dining area, kitchen, and bedrooms. Outside, you’ll find the pool and the pool house,” says Rocky. This simplicity, he believes, puts guests in a peaceful state of mind, gently reminding them of “the beauty of living with just what you need.”</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749283856222IMG_0942.JPG" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">All guest bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, with towels and toiletries.</span></span></span></div><p>Designed by <strong>Liza Morales</strong> of <strong>Ecotecture Design</strong>, G House is as thoughtful as it is beautiful. “She ensured that energy consumption would be kept to a minimum—thanks to Alfonso’s naturally cool climate, air conditioning is entirely optional,” Rocky explains. Natural light fills every room, reducing the need for artificial lighting, and landscaping was kept to a minimum to let nature take the lead. “We fondly refer to the towering trees and lush greenery surrounding the house as ‘happy incidentals,’” Rocky says.</p><p>Inside, the villa feels lived-in and familiar, thanks to personal touches like spare books and artworks from Rocky’s own collection. “In our opinion, there’s nothing ostentatious about it—it’s simply the way we wanted it to be,” he shares. And perhaps that’s what makes it feel so inviting and welcoming.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749283995839IMG_0940.JPG" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">A pocket area for sunlit breakfasts, surrounded by their lush garden.</span></span></span>What can guests expect? The villa can accommodate up to 16 people, with three guest rooms and one master bedroom, all with en suite bathrooms. The kitchen is spacious and has all the necessary utensils and glassware. Quality bedding ensures a good night’s sleep, and fresh bath and pool towels with shampoo and conditioner ensure a smooth stay. Service and maintenance are also just inside the compound, so guests can be assisted 12 hours a day. </div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749284104140GHOUSE-08273 copy.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">G House’s staff of five ensures everything is sparkling clean and orderly.</span></span></span>“Honestly, we just want our guests to feel free, carefree, and completely themselves in the privacy of our villa. Dip in the jacuzzi underneath the stars. Pour yourself a drink and belt out your favorite karaoke track in the pool house. Feeling competitive? Gather your teams and play some board games by the deck. Hungry? Go ahead—indulge in that midnight snack without a hint of guilt. Want to stay active? Take a walk around the village. And if you’re lucky, you might catch one of those rare pink sunsets that sometimes grace the summer sky. It’s nothing short of spectacular.”</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1749284386783GHOUSE-08489 copy.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">G House transforms into a whole different vibe at night.</span></span></span></div><div><strong>A Soulful Sanctuary</strong></div><p>As guests drift away from their usual routines, what remains is connection to nature, to themselves, and to the people they love. “Soon after the lockdowns, G House became a place where families reunited and friends reconnected,” Rocky recalls. “Many have shared how grateful they were to have had this space to escape, reflect, and heal during the uncertainty of those times.
