With a black runway, elevated by whimsical cage ceiling accents and greenery, the setup by <strong>Randy Lazaro</strong> lent the perfect backdrop for Francis&#x27; exquisitely crafted creations for brides and grooms.  </p><p>In an interview with <strong>Metro</strong>, Francis talked about the concept behind DEVOCIÓN, saying, &quot;Well, DEVOCIÓN is about our devotion to what we&#x27;re doing, you know, me enjoying designing for my brides. I really love weddings. I remember the first time I ever made a wedding gown. I was having a hard time detaching from it. Especially when creating wedding ensembles, his role as a designer is to interpret in the best possible way the vision of his brides and grooms. &quot;I would just like to listen to their stories, and it gives me inspiration to do the best work,&quot; he explained.</p><p>Francis Libiran&#x27;s DEVOCIÓN showcased a range of silhouettes and designs—from timeless and classic ball gowns to sexy figure-hugging masterpieces to modern mini and asymmetrical dresses.  </p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s always nice to mix up something that&#x27;s traditional and yet inject something that&#x27;s out of this world,&quot; Francis shared when asked about balancing timeless elegance with contemporary styles. &quot;You know, you want the surprise factor in every bride who would walk down the aisle. So it&#x27;s a nice combination.&quot;</p><p>Interestingly, Francis said that when brides go to him, they usually request something non-traditional. &quot;They always want to go with something very unique and will show off their personality,&quot; he shared. </p><p>But if you&#x27;re familiar with his body of work, you&#x27;ll know Francis is well-known for intricate embellishments and statement-making structural details; his background in architecture is a significant influence that plays a role in his design process. &quot;I love embroidery. So what I try to do is I try to incorporate a special pattern that&#x27;s meaningful for my bride,&quot; Francis revealed. &quot;And I try to put it on tracing paper. And it&#x27;s always a great combination when a designer and a bride collaborate. It&#x27;s always something big. At &#x27;DEVOCIÓN,&#x27; I used different elements. I have the traditional lace. I have the embroidery, which signifies Filipiniana, without using the terno. I made the sculpture gowns for the modern bride. So I try to tap into different types of personalities in this fashion show.&quot;</p><p>The same goes with grooms.
