Amorita Resort Bohol Wellness Getaway

<p>You&#x27;ve heard it one too many times before—<strong>rest</strong> is not something to earn. It&#x27;s something we all deserve. Wellness is more than having the occasional sugar-free dessert or booking a spa day. With way too many things happening at the same time these days, going above and beyond for our well-being should be prioritized. That&#x27;s why, with every chance we get to rest and take a break, we grab it, and we savor it. </p><p>Such was the case for me when I had the chance to go on a wellness getaway in<strong> Amorita Resort</strong> in <strong>Bohol</strong>—dubbed the island&#x27;s little darling, a home away from home. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755236968276Amorita 1.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>On day one, we flew in from Manila and arrived in Tagbilaran airport just in time for a <em>Boholano</em> feast at the resort—a seasonal offering for foodies and casual eaters alike. The spread included seasonal ingredients and fresh seafood like crayfish (<em>takla</em>); available upon request when you order ahead of time. It was a great way to be welcomed into island time. There was a fresh breeze coming from the ocean, Saffron Iced Tea in hand, savoring the unique flavors in my mouth. I knew it was time for some serious unwinding. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755238354089Amorita 2.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755238980014Amorita 4.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>After checking into my beautiful room, I decided to spend the afternoon doing something I love doing:<strong> </strong><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/wellness/health/how-to-build-better-sleeping-habits/35096" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>sleeping</strong></a>! After waking up early that day, I knew a power nap would be helpful. The pool seemed inviting, but the bed won this round! I met up with our group for some pre-dinner cocktails, and had some much-needed face-to-face chit chat (something we rarely get to do these days). I believe that getting to talk to people in person does wonders for our well-being, too! Soon after, it was time to feast again, this time at <strong>Tomar</strong>, the resort&#x27;s beloved <strong>Spanish</strong> restaurant! It&#x27;s so good that my friend who happens to live on the island told me he makes it a point to eat at Tomar every chance he gets! Enjoying good food makes us well, doesn&#x27;t it? I don&#x27;t get to enjoy tapas and cava every day, so this is truly a treat—it made my belly full and my mood great!</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755242795213Amorita 5.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>After a wonderful dinner, it was time to head back and get my ZZZs early. I wanted to take advantage of the comfortable bed and the early end to the night. It was a good night for day one!</p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>Day two: Workouts, Winner Food, and Winding Down with Art</strong></div><p>Day two on the island meant another day spent in paradise! Waking up to the view of the pool outside my villa was such a treat. After some quiet moments in the room, it was time to hit the gym, enjoy some breakfast, and enjoy the resort! The resort&#x27;s gym is compact but complete with cardio machines, weight machines, boxing equipment, and yoga equipment. Being able to sweat it out while on &quot;vacation&quot; is always a good idea! After a quick breakfast, I spent the rest of the morning chilling in my villa, watching travel vlogs, and simply allowing time to pass.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755245480406Amorita 6.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Lunch on day two was at Saffron, the restaurant facing the resort&#x27;s signature infinity pool. It was yet another hearty spread of food with unforgettable dishes I still crave to this day! Wellness can mean having a strictly clean diet, but it can also mean enjoying a variety of dishes, eating the rainbow, and allowing yourself to indulge in some carbs and hearty bites of meat and seafood! Such was the case for me—I ate to my heart&#x27;s content, walked around the resort afterwards, and added those moments to my core memories. </p><div><br/><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755246502534Amorita 7.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755247199109Amorita 8.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Day two quickly came to a close with a most special dinner at <strong>The Lost Cow</strong>, Amorita&#x27;s chophouse. For those craving a good protein-rich dinner and some good wine, this spot is the place to be. With a menu that offers the best quality beef, cravings are satisfied for sure. While I am not a huge meat-eater, I made sure to prepare my appetite for this evening. I love a good steak once in a while, as a treat and not as something I look for daily. The Lost Cow met all my expectations and more—from every single starter to the main attractions, it was truly a meal to remember. </p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1755248258101Amorita 9.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>My little wellness getaway was slowly becoming a food crawl, but I was definitely not complaining! It&#x27;s not every day I get to eat such scrumptious food, so I savoured every bite! Day two ended on a high note, and it made me even more ready to doze off and face day three with energy and excitement. </p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>Day 3: Sea Tree Spa, a Relaxing Nature Walk, and a Memorable Last Meal</strong></div><p><strong></strong>While I did not want the mini break to end, I made sure to enjoy every bit of it by hitting the gym, checking out the resort&#x27;s famed Sea Tree Spa, exploring the rest of the resort, and capping my stay off with a swim and a good lunch. The Spa offers not just signature massages but beauty treatments like the Sol Beso beauty ritual—a facial that uses natural ingredients to rejuvenate and refresh the skin. A spa session is always a good idea, whether on an island or in the city, so make sure to book a session at Sea Tree! </p><p>I had a few more hours on my hands, so I explored the rest of the resort on foot, taking in the sights and breathing in as much fresh air as I could. Being in the province really is different; it has the ability to ground you, to relax you, and to give the mind a little more peace. I did not take those moments of staring out towards the ocean for granted, swimming some laps in my own pool, and relishing every delicious bite.
