Personally, I love having pesto on sourdough and avocado.” </div><p>&quot;However, in the beginning, our pesto had dairy,” she explains. “But since my daughter has food sensitivities, we’ve switched to creating plant-based pesto using nutritional yeast.”</p><p> In addition, to accommodate her daughter’s condition, Chef Sison and the rest of her family also transitioned to a plant-based lifestyle, swapping traditional household ingredients for their plant-based alternatives. One of which is milk, traded for ‘plant milks,’ or ‘milk’ made from plant-based ingredients that can be as versatile as its dairy counterparts. </p><p> “We can use plant milks for creamy dishes like pasta, even <em>sopas</em>. I use it for coffee. My daughter uses it to create smoothies.
