<p><strong>Hyun Bin </strong>was named <strong>Best Actor </strong>at the <strong>46th Blue Dragon Film Awards</strong>, recognized for his outstanding portrayal in the biographical period drama film <em>Harbin</em>. </p><p>In the movie, set in the early 1900s, Hyun Bin portrays Ahn Jung Geun, a resistance fighter opposing Korea&#x27;s subjugation by Japan. How I am able to live in this country, and the fact that I can stand in a place like this now, I believe it&#x27;s all thanks to the countless people who dedicated and sacrificed themselves to protect our country. So, I would first like to express my gratitude for this situation to them. Thank you.&quot;</p><p>Hyun Bin then revealed that he initially declined the offer to work on this project: &quot;When I first received the offer for the work Harbin and about General Ahn Jung Geun, at that time, the suffering, the pain, and the agonizing frustration of those who lived and experienced those countless events, and yet, the sense of responsibility and the sheer weight of having to protect this nation. I truly couldn&#x27;t dare to fathom or imagine it, and I didn&#x27;t have the confidence to endure it. So, I initially declined the offer for this project. But director <strong>Woo Min Ho</strong>, who gave me strength until the very end and who told me I could do it, who said, &#x27;Let&#x27;s make a meaningful film,&#x27; and held my hand and led me until the end—it&#x27;s because of you, Director, that I am standing here. I feel that without them, I wouldn&#x27;t have been able to withstand that burden. And always, then and now, our family and company staff who have silently and steadfastly supported and encouraged me from behind. I also sincerely thank our international fans and the many audience members who loved <em>Harbin</em>.&quot;</p><p>Lastly, the actor expressed his gratitude to<strong> Son Ye Jin</strong>, who also won Best Actress that night for the satirical black comedy thriller film<strong> </strong><em><strong>No Other Choice</strong></em>: <em></em>&quot;And to my wife, Ye Jin, who is such a source of strength just by existing, I want to say I love you and thank you... I want to thank the fans and the officials of the Blue Dragon Film Awards for giving us an unforgettable memory.&quot;</p><p>Hyun Bin recently attended the <a href="https://metro.style/people/2025/11/17/all-the-celebrities-who-attended-the-disney-originals-preview-2025-in-hong-kong-disneyland-2330" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Disney+ Originals Preview 2025 in Hong Kong</a>, where he shared exciting news about his upcoming project, the period political drama <em><strong>Made in Korea</strong></em>, also directed by <em>Harbin </em>director Woo Min Ho. <em>Made in Korea</em> will debut on Disney+ on Christmas Eve, December 24, with two more episodes set for release on New Year&#x27;s Eve, December 31.
