She began her speech by admitting that she usually prepares an acceptance speech, but had not prepared one for the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. &quot;Just like senior actor Sung Min said he hadn&#x27;t prepared one, that&#x27;s exactly how I feel, wondering if I really deserve to accept this award. That thought was overwhelming. My mind is completely blank right now,&quot; she said. </p><p>Son Ye Jin went on to recall the first time she received a Best Actress award from the Blue Dragon Film Awards. &quot;First, I remember when I first won the Best Actress award at BDFA when I was 27. Back then, in my acceptance speech, I talked about how hard it was to live as a 27-year-old actress and said that this award would be a source of great strength for me.&quot; The award she was referring to was her Best Actress award for the movie <em><strong>My Wife Got Married</strong> </em>in 2008. And as was the case this year, she also won the <strong>Popular Star Award</strong> at the time—only this time, it was historic for the award-giving body, as she shared the honor with Hyun Bin, who also received the same recognition alongside the Best Actor award for the biographical period drama film <em><strong>Harbin</strong></em>.<em></em><em></em><em></em></p><p>&quot;And now, before I even reach my mid-40s—it&#x27;s been well over 10 years—you have given me this award at BDFA,&quot; Son Ye Jin continued. &quot;To be honest, the very first dream I had while acting was to win the Best Actress award at the BDFA. You helped me achieve that, and I truly made a film again after seven years. When director <strong>Park Chan Wook </strong>asked me to work with him, I was so excited and happy, but I also worried a lot about whether I could do a good job. Despite not having a huge part, I want to thank the director so, so much for creating the character Miri so well.
