Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin Make History at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards

<p><em>Crash Landing on You </em>stars <strong>Son Ye Jin</strong> and<strong> Hyun Bin</strong> just made history at the <strong>46th Blue Dragon Film Awards</strong>. The celebrity couple both won the major awards at the ceremony held on November 19 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.</p><p>The<strong> BinJin </strong>couple was first announced to be among the <strong>Popular Star Awards</strong> recipients alongside Girls’ Generation’s <strong>Lim Yoona</strong> (<em>Pretty Crazy</em>) and GOT7’s <strong>Park Jinyoung</strong> (<em>Hi-Five</em>). The moment was so historic that host<strong> Lee Je Hoon</strong> even commented that, in all of the awards shows he had hosted, that was the first time he had seen a married couple go onstage together, complementing them by saying, &quot;You look so good together.&quot;</p><p>Son Ye Jin made their onstage appearance together even sweeter when the bubbly actress moved closer to her husband, Hyun Bin, and even made cute poses beside him, making him smile. </p><p>&quot;I believe many fans voted for me so that this award could be placed in my hands,&quot; Hyun Bin said. &quot;I want to sincerely express my gratitude to those people.&quot; Son Ye Jin, on the other hand, shared, &quot;I am also incredibly honored to receive this wonderful Popularity Award today with my husband, which I truly will never forget.

She said, &quot;Just like senior actor Sung Min said he hadn&#x27;t prepared one, that&#x27;s exactly how I feel, wondering if I really deserve to accept this award. That thought was overwhelming. My mind is completely blank right now. First, I remember when I first won the Best Actress award at BDFA when I was 27. Back then, in my acceptance speech, I talked about how hard it was to live as a 27-year-old actress and said that this award would be a source of great strength for me.</p><p>&quot;And now, before I even reach my mid-40s—it&#x27;s been well over 10 years—you have given me this award at BDFA. To be honest, the very first dream I had while acting was to win the Best Actress award at the BDFA. You helped me achieve that, and I truly made a film again after seven years. When director Park Chan Wook asked me to work with him, I was so excited and happy, but I also worried a lot about whether I could do a good job. Despite not having a huge part, I want to thank the director so, so much for creating the character Miri so well. Also, watching senior actor Byung Hun&#x27;s acting beside me was incredibly stimulating, and I learned a lot.</p><p>&quot;After getting married and becoming a mother, I feel that a lot of my various emotions and my perspective on the world are changing. How I am able to live in this country, and the fact that I can stand in a place like this now, I believe it&#x27;s all thanks to the countless people who dedicated and sacrificed themselves to protect our country. So, I would first like to express my gratitude for this situation to them. Thank you. When I first received the offer for the work <em>Harbin</em> and about General Ahn Jung-geun, at that time, the suffering, the pain, and the agonizing frustration of those who lived and experienced those countless events, and yet, the sense of responsibility and the sheer weight of having to protect this nation. I truly couldn&#x27;t dare to fathom or imagine it, and I didn&#x27;t have the confidence to endure it. So, I initially declined the offer for this project. </p><p>&quot;But Director Woo Min Ho, who gave me strength until the very end and who told me I could do it, who said, &#x27;Let&#x27;s make a meaningful film,&#x27; and held my hand and led me until the end—it&#x27;s because of you, Director, that I am standing here. Thank you. Our long journey... I want to tell our colleagues, Jeong Min and Yeo Been, and the fellow actors who were with us, who are not here today, and all the wonderful and excellent staff members from each department, that I was so happy and felt honored to work with them, and that I am grateful. I feel that without them, I wouldn&#x27;t have been able to withstand that burden. And always, then and now, our family and company staff who have silently and steadfastly supported and encouraged me from behind.</p><p>&quot;I also sincerely thank our international fans and the many audience members who loved <em>Harbin</em>.
