Since the announcement of their reunion film, The Loved One, Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis have once again become one of the most talked-about pairings in the Philippine entertainment scene. This is a reunion that was almost 15 years in the making. Branded a criminal, he is forced to run away—only to return years later as a fugitive driven by a thirst for revenge.Six years later, ABS-CBN brought the story to Philippine television with Green Rose in 2011, headlined by Jericho and Anne. After a night stranded in the woods, their unexpected romance blossoms, only to be tested by betrayal, prejudice, and dangerous accusations that threaten to tear them apart.Now, 15 years after Green Rose, Jericho and Anne are finally reuniting on the big screen for the Valentine’s film The Loved One, directed by Irene Villamor and set to hit cinemas on February 11. And I was like, I need to be in that film. Sana ako ‘yung nakasama sa film na ’yan. Until one day, it really happened now,” he shared, talking about the Anne-Curtis-and-Dingdong-Dantes-starrer, also helmed by Direk Irene. Anne, meanwhile, sees the project as perfectly timed. “I guess, being able to work with Jericho, I feel like it was probably really meant to be. And he’s always so easy and giving as an actor, as always. So, I was very happy to reunite with him for this project specifically,” she said.Working together again also brought back fond memories. Jericho joked that he now feels pressured to arrive early on set, recalling how Anne was always ahead of schedule during Green Rose, a professionalism she continues to uphold in The Loved One.As the duo gears up to give audiences a bittersweet Valentine’s experience, fans are already buzzing online, hoping their reunion won’t end here.
