Metro Fascinating Women 2026: Gabs Gibbs

<p>If last year was all about behind-the-lens brilliance and entrepreneurial groundwork, this 2026 heralds the official grand reintroduction of<strong> Gabriella “Gabs” Loyzaga Gibbs</strong>.<strong></strong> Inkling, she’s in her current ride of the main stage metamorphosis.</p><p>“I was super quiet behind the scenes,” she muses, reflecting on a season spent deep in the visual form of photography. Now, she is prepping for a new career path that takes space on the music lens. “[I am] slowly getting back into being in front of the camera. Yeah, I’m [trying] to take the main stage. [Like] putting myself out there more this year,” Gabs tells <strong>Metro.Style</strong>.</p><p>As she navigates a masterful pivot back to her musical roots, Gabs is carefully shielding her upcoming extended play (EP) from the digital noise, allowing her sonic identity to marinate in the corners of her private studio.</p><p>“I’m making my EP, [but I’m] still gatekeeping it. I&#x27;m trying to find my sound. So hopefully, I&#x27;ll be able to share more in the future. But yeah, I&#x27;m working on that now,” says Gabs, who hints that the EP might be out by mid- to end-year. She also eyes more collaborations in the industry.</p><p>Entering 2026 with a mindset anchored in physical longevity and mental clarity, the creative finds footing in a softer and more deliberate frequency. This time, Gabs pursues living life a bit unhurried, stating, “2026 is very busy so far, which is great, and I&#x27;m okay. Good transition from last year. I really didn&#x27;t sleep. It was a very all-nighters type of club,” she admits.</p><div></div><p>Currently trading the frantic static of hustle culture for an exercise in the luxury of pace, Gabs is actually out here turning the lead of a workaholic lifestyle into the gold of true harmony, stating, “I’m trying to do fun things outside of work. I love work. I’m pretty much a workaholic, but <em>ayoko naman i</em>-glorify. I’m trying to take time doing things that aren’t for my business. That makes me happy.” </p><p>The <strong>Open House</strong> founder further shares how her days look calmer now. Her daily routine speaks volumes about work-life balance. The day begins in the company of her fiancée—who doubles as her business partner—before descending into the creative buzz of her studio and café. I’m learning how to play the guitar. I’m in the studio a lot. And then I end the day with my family a lot.” </p><p>But unlike the burnout-inducing cycles of the past, Gabs is fiercely protective of her after-hours. Living as neighbors with her parents, her days are also anchored by a proximity to her built-in support system: “I&#x27;m super close to them, my parents especially. <em>Kasi magkapit-bahay na kam</em>i, so yeah, we do a lot of things together as well.”</p><p>Gabs recently clings to a live-in-the-moment mantra that serves as her compass in getting through the day. “I read this the other day, and it made me think about it. I wrote it down, and it’s <em>tulad ko</em>, like ‘You can’t beat a person that’s having fun.’” </p><p>“So <em>parang</em>, whatever I’m doing right now, I&#x27;m like trying to remind myself <em>na</em> ‘Okay, you&#x27;re not in a hurry.
