Korean Film "Colony" Premieres at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival

And the evolved zombie movie—with its amazing cast led by <strong>Jun Ji Hyun</strong>, <strong>Koo Kyo Hwan</strong>, <strong>Kim Shin Rok</strong>, <strong>Shin Hyun Been</strong>, <strong>Go Soo</strong>, <strong>Kim Hyung Mook</strong>, and <strong>Ji Chang Wook</strong>—reportedly earned a seven-minute standing ovation.</p><p>There to attend and witness the premiere of <em>Colony </em>in Cannes, France were cast members Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Shin Rok, Shin Hyun Been, and Ji Chang Wook, as well as director-writer <strong>Yeon Sang Ho</strong>, who<strong></strong> is also the director of 2016&#x27;s <em><strong>Train to Busan</strong> </em>and 2020&#x27;s <em><strong>Peninsula</strong></em>. <em></em><em></em></p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1779103923003699722772_1291481186497335_7754367885581629724_n.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" spellcheck="false">Gianna Jun (Jun Ji-hyun) plays Kwon Se-jeong in <em>Colony</em>. As a biotechnologist, she&#x27;s instrumental in investigating a rapidly mutating virus that resulted in an outbreak, causing people, including herself, to get trapped in a building. With her expertise, she figures out the pattern in the behavior and evolution of the infected, so the rest of the people trapped can survive and escape.
