What We Loved About the Trailer of Janine and Jericho's "The Loyalty Game"

<p><strong>Prime Video</strong> has unveiled the official trailer for <strong><em>The Loyalty Game</em></strong>, a gripping Filipino psychological drama set to premiere globally on <strong>July 3</strong> in the Philippines and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. </p><p>Tense, provocative, and emotionally charged, the series explores the devastating consequences of betrayal and the dangerous lengths people will go to in order to uncover the truth. It starts with Janine and Jericho kissing. The clock ticked, and the next frame shows them in bed, a white lingerie-clad Janine (who portrays Ana) hugging Jericho (who plays Ben)from behind. The bedside table has a small clock on it (and the time is 11:35 PM), two medicine bottles, a glass of water, and a framed black-and-white photograph (but the one beside him in the photo doesn&#x27;t seem to look like her). In the blink of an eye, Ana, now dressed in a silk pajama, is alone in bed. Sensing no one is lying beside her, she wakes up and starts looking for Ben. The time on the clock is 4 AM.  </p><p>She goes downstairs and steps outside, their home dark and eerie, repeatedly calling out the name of Ben&#x27;s character: &quot;Ben?&quot; The clock ticked again, and she jolts awake—this time, she finds him beside her in bed. The time on the clock is now 5 AM. She tells him, &quot;<em>Nagising ako kanina</em>, <em>wala ka,</em>&quot; the sound of suspense thickening. &quot;I was here the whole time, sleeping beside you,&quot; he tells her. And while caressing her arm, he adds, &quot;I love you, stranger.&quot; The camera pans out, showing an overview of the two in bed—him with his eyes closed, while she looks at him, confused and suspicious.  </p><p>The teaser raises a lot of questions: What&#x27;s their real relationship? Who&#x27;s dreaming? Who&#x27;s deceiving who? Who&#x27;s lying? Who&#x27;s cheating? The trailer starts with Ben and Ana sharing a tender moment. He tells her, &quot;You are the love of my life. And I love this life that we have. I&#x27;ll do anything. Everything. To protect you and our love.&quot; They spend their anniversary, but the next frame shows their framed photograph falling on the floor, glass breaking. Jericho thuds on the floor, as he holds his neck, bloody. Then they&#x27;re back together in bed, with her telling him she couldn&#x27;t find him in bed when she woke up earlier. He told her he was there, sleeping, the whole time. She jolts awake. </p><p>Then we learn more about the story: That Ana plans to hire someone from the internet to flirt with Ben, to see if he would entertain the woman and deny that he&#x27;s married, or if he would ignore her. Then we see &quot;loyalty testers&quot; applying: <strong>Yen Santos</strong> (Diane), <strong>Kira Balinger </strong>(Angel), <strong>Elisse Joson</strong> (Bridget), and <strong>Maika Rivera</strong> (Carlota). We later learn that <strong>Sofia Andres</strong>, as Elizabeth, is also one of the testers.</p><p>&quot;My husband is different,&quot; Ana says. But then she says in the frame: &quot;<em>May hindi sinasabi sa&#x27;kin si</em> Ben. <em>May tinatago</em>.&quot;</p><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1780978934254TLG-KA-3.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Then we see Ben in the car, pulling a secret phone from under the driver&#x27;s seat. We are introduced to<strong> Carmina Villarroel</strong>&#x27;s character, Imelda, who is Ana&#x27;s mother, and there&#x27;s something mysterious about her, too. </p><p>In a voiceover, Ana tells Ben, &quot;I want you to be honest with me. <em>Mapagkakatiwalaan kita</em>, &#x27;<em>di ba</em>? </p><p>Then one tester, Elizabeth, tells her fellow tester, Diane: &quot;<em>At sana</em> safe &#x27;<em>yan</em>,<em> hindi ka mapapahamak d&#x27;yan</em>.&quot; Then the plot thickens, as testers Carlota and Elizabeth are shown distraught, and the hunt for a possible serial cheater now raises this question: &quot;Is there a serial killer?&quot; </p><p>The mystery is further amplified when we see Ben buying duct tape, cable ties, and ropes—even testing the durability of the rope. </p><p>Then we see <strong>Yassi Pressman</strong> running on a field, crying—Ana&#x27;s voice-over saying, &quot;How does a woman forgive a man who cheated on her?&quot;</p><p>Charlie enters the screen, wailing, &quot;<em>Mahal niya ako</em>! <em>Mahal niya ako</em>!&quot;</p><p>Ana&#x27;s voice-over continues—&quot;...<em>Matapos mong ibigay ang lahat-lahat sa kanya...</em>&quot;—as we see her crying and cursing.</p><p>&quot;...Your love, your loyalty&quot;—until we see Elizabeth waving at someone, and her alongside Ben, who tells her, &quot;<em>Hinding-hingi mangyayari sa&#x27;tin &#x27;yun</em>. <em>Hinding-hindi</em>.&quot;</p><p>Ana looks at her phone, with a horrified expression. He said, &quot;Somewhat similar, but hugely different. So similar to, for me, especially for me, sa <em>Lavender Fields </em><em>na ginawa namin, </em>so <em>medyo </em>double-life guy <em>din siya</em>. But this one <em>naman</em>, aside from protecting something, very, very noble <em>&#x27;yung gusto niyang mangyari sa </em>life <em>niya</em>. <em>&#x27;Yun &#x27;yung medyo </em>similarity, but iba &#x27;yung tono ng show na ito. This is darker. This is more intriguing. It&#x27;s more captivating in terms of themes. And it&#x27;s just very, very exciting. It&#x27;s something that sometimes, basically, they have put fear in front of you and make you watch it.
