There’s no rule book,” the multifaceted <strong>Tate Myron</strong> said, reflecting with a maturity that belies his years.</p><p>Born in Dublin and now based in Bangkok, the 22-year-old Thai-British actor speaks with a remarkable sense of self-assurance. As a Capricorn, born on December 27, 2003, Tate embodies the sign’s hallmark traits: responsibility, discipline, and ambition. Even in a brief encounter, it is clear that his personality is profoundly aligned with these characteristics.</p><p>During our cover shoot, his grounded nature was on full display. He moved with a precision that met every expectation, asked thoughtful questions to ensure the creative vision was clear, and displayed an innate command of the camera. One moment, he’s polished and put-together like a superstar; the next instance, he kicks things back just as any 22-year-old would do, unbothered by casual fits and disheveled hair. But whether it’s the former or the latter, one thing stays true for this 6’1” stunner: he commands attention wherever he may be, without even trying. </p><p>Now, it’s easy to stare into an empty shell, but glances at Tate in the real world, beyond the screens, can stretch far longer and deeper. His 2020 debut saw him in a supporting role in the drama <strong><em>XYZ</em></strong>.</p><p>Following this breakthrough, he appeared as the lead in a series of novel-based<em> Dhevaprom </em>dramas. Surprised and delighted, Tate is grateful that his character, <strong>Police Captain M.L. Ronnajak Juthathep</strong>, in 2024’s <strong><em>Dhevaprom: Jaipisut </em></strong>made a mark. The role itself and his portrayal allowed Tate to gain widespread recognition. Fans couldn’t get enough of his pairing with his onscreen partner, <strong>Oom Eisaya Hosuwan</strong>, inspiring countless video edits highlighting their chemistry. </p><p>Then, in April this year, Tate further established his <span style="margin:0px;padding:0px">leading-man status with the historical romance drama <em><strong>Whisper of Desire</strong></em>, in which he played the personal driver of his boss’s wife (played by <strong>&quot;Perth&quot; Veerinsara Tangkitsuvanich</strong>), who finds himself caught</span> up in a complicated love triangle. But it&#x27;s a period piece that has a modern twist to it. We’ve tried to bring characters and mindsets and ways of thinking of people from this generation back to that generation, which I thought was super interesting. And it made for very unique relationships between the characters. And it made for a very modern kind of narrative pacing, but still taking place in the past.”</p><p>It turns out the nostalgic treatment was a hit among viewers, too, and that was a pleasant surprise for Tate. For him, the reviews and reactions were like a pat on the back, boosting his confidence and morale as an actor who wants to portray memorable roles that also make an impact. </p><p>“The nature of the show is that it keeps you guessing. So, having loads of people come up to me and ask, like, ‘What happens in the next episode?’ That was something that really felt good for me,” Tate reflected. “It seemed that they were really invested in it… They were invested in the character, which I think, for me, is the most important thing. If they can believe that this character is a real person and is actually going through these things, then I feel like I’ve done my job.”</p><p>The endearing chemistry we have seen Tate bring to the relationships he has portrayed onscreen showcases his excitement to work with other actors in a variety of roles. This is why it’s no surprise that he’s been gaining popularity even beyond Thailand. His next project belongs to the action-romance genre, offering a different side of Tate yet again. And from the way he described the show and his character, it seems they’re going to be new obsessions for viewers. </p><p>“It’s going to be action-romance, so it’s going to be a good balance between the two, I think,” Tate teased about his next role. As expected for an action role, Tate underwent rigorous training to ensure his performance would be as plausible as possible. He had shooting lessons and a crash course on proper gun handling. </p><p>Choosing humility over ego, Tate acknowledges he still has a long way to go in the industry. So, he keeps an open mind about the projects he intends to devote his time and energy to. “I&#x27;m still very new, so I&#x27;m very flexible. Tate is a deeply analytical performer, utilizing method and psychological rigor to bring his roles to life. While he is eager to explore the challenges of his rising career, he continues to seek an authentic, shared humanity in every role he takes on.</p><p>“I think one thing that I do look for in all the characters is a sense of humanity. Characters are so important because you can find something interesting within that character, and then bring that out for people to see and hopefully relate to,” Tate told <strong>Metro.Style</strong>. </p><p>His relationship with the entertainment industry is a give-and-take. Tate is generous about offering his time and effort to deliver standout performances. Not one to waste precious time, he approaches his life with deliberate, uncompromising intention. He said, “I try to keep simple routines that ground me, even when I’m in different places. It could be training when I can, making sure I rest properly, or just being mindful about what I eat and how I prepare for the day ahead. It’s not about being perfect, but about being consistent with the basics.”</p><p>Tate said it’s his goal to work out five to six times a week. Sharing his workout routine, he said, “I do a mixture of weight training and cardio, just because I feel like cardio is a great way to, for me, at least, to sort of relieve stress and to feel fresh in the morning and things like that. And then I try to keep a relatively balanced diet. I&#x27;d try to eat mostly whole foods, but I think it&#x27;s also important to let yourself eat what you want to eat, too, sometimes.” </p><p>Though particular about fitness and wellness, Tate also strikes a balance by rewarding himself with comfort food whenever he feels like it. “I eat everything to reward [myself]. I’ll eat chocolate. I’ll have biscuits. Tate is IAM’s first-ever endorser from Thailand as part of the 2026 <strong>“IAM Next</strong>” series, joining the brand’s growing roster of international ambassadors.</p><p>Though it was only a short trip, he got to squeeze in some time to experience the capital’s cuisine. The night before our scheduled interview, he visited acclaimed film director <strong>Erik Matti</strong>’s restaurant, <strong>Rekdi</strong>, a modern eatery that serves Filipino comfort food. Then he was in for a treat for more sampling when we met him. Tate pointed out that the hints of peanut in Kare-Kare kind of reminded him of Thai cuisine. He followed up this observation by noting that the Filipino and Thai entertainment industries also share similarities, making him even more excited about branching out in Manila. Learning new languages and immersing himself in a country’s culture and traditions have always fascinated Tate, who finished a Bachelor of Arts degree, second-class honors, with an international program in Language and Culture at the prestigious <strong>Chulalongkorn University</strong>. </p><p>“I would love to sort of make that transition, if possible. And it&#x27;s been exciting to meet, like, as you said, I’ve met some directors. I’ve met loads of people who are so passionate. I’ve met loads of really talented photographers and videographers here. So I would love to work with them in the future, and we’ll see what happens. I’m very excited,” Tate shared. Fans do not have to wait long because a Filipino-produced film is in the pipeline for him, following the career trajectory of Thai superstar Mario Maurer <strong></strong>while forging his own path and carving a niche all his own.  </p><p>Aside from being an actor, Tate is a singer, too. In fact, his love for the craft of performing had roots in doing musicals in school. I want to continue challenging myself with roles that push me out of my comfort zone and allow me to explore different kinds of stories and characters,” Tate opened up, with a promise to do more projects that would hopefully bring him closer to fans across the world. “At the same time, I’m also excited about building more international connections and working on projects that allow me to reach audiences beyond where I started.
