The musical is set to open in <strong>September 2026</strong> at the <strong>Samsung Performing Arts Theater</strong>.</p><p>In an interview with <strong>METRO</strong>, Morissette admitted she was completely surprised when she found out she had been chosen for the role. For the Philippine staging, <strong>Theatre Group Asia</strong> carefully handpicked its cast, making the opportunity even more meaningful for the singer.</p><p>“It happened during the &#x27;Into the Woods&#x27; Gala Night. Both [Chris Mohnani] and [Clint Ramos] pulled me aside. Casting middle Allie is a tough process because the character’s songs are technically challenging as they are emotionally demanding. It takes a special kind of vocalist and actress to tackle this role. And we’re overjoyed Morissette welcomed the prospect. While many audiences know the story through its iconic 2004 film adaptation starring <strong>Ryan Gosling </strong>and<strong> Rachel McAdams</strong>,<strong> </strong>the musical offers a fresh perspective by following Allie and Noah through different stages of their lives, showing how love evolves, falters, and ultimately endures.</p><p>With the Philippine production fast approaching, Morissette revealed that she is flying to the United States this July to watch the <strong>Broadway</strong> production firsthand. More than simply seeing the show, she hopes to better understand how the stage adaptation differs from both the novel and the film, which she is more familiar with.</p><p>“So I’m wanting to see how they’re currently doing it also. But definitely, coming from the book to the movie to the execution on stage, there are definitely different parts, a lot of moving parts for sure. Her character, alongside <strong>Laurence Mossman’s middle Noah</strong>, represents one of the most pivotal chapters in Allie and Noah’s love story, making the role especially meaningful to her.</p><p>“I think, for me, it’s interesting because, I mean, what middle Ali is going through isn’t the easiest. She’s at a crossroads, right, of going back to her supposed fiancé and then the love of her life. Because, as I’ve shared, this is something that’s very personal to me,” Morissette revealed.</p><p>The singer shared that she deeply relates to middle Allie’s emotional conflict, having experienced similar crossroads in her own life. Drawing from those personal experiences, she believes she can bring greater authenticity to the character’s journey.</p><p>“It would be interesting to go back to that time and actually mirror what I went through with what middle Allie is going through. And so, <em>parang</em>, I’m excited because the thrill of not knowing, the decision-making, I feel like there’s a little bit of, you know, human-ness and thrill-ness with not knowing the decision-making and then eventually making the decision,” she added.</p><p>With just two months left before opening night, Morissette also reflected on why <em>The Noteboo</em><em>k</em> continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
