By 10 a.m., fans were already in line, excited to see <strong>Team GMMTV Thailand</strong>. Before <strong>Neo Trai</strong>, <strong>Gawin Caskey</strong>,<strong> Joss Way-ar</strong>, <strong>Ryu Phudtripart</strong>, <strong>Aston Luengvoraphan</strong>, <strong>Marc Natarit</strong>, <strong>Ping Krittanun</strong>, <strong>Teshow Promsaka Na Sakolnakorn</strong>, and twins<strong> AJ and JJ Jutamas</strong> stepped on the court, they first sat down with the press, and the media con was just as fun to watch as the game.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Meeting Team Star Magic for the First Time</strong></div><p>Star Magic artist <strong>Chloe Webber</strong> hosted the media con, with fellow Star Magic talent and half-Pinay, half-Thai <strong>Alex Khunkhwamdee</strong> stepping in as interpreter. The Q&amp;A kicked off the moment the GMMTV stars arrived, and the first question was an easy one: what did they think of Team Star Magic Philippines after meeting them for the first time?</p><p>“I think they all stood out. They’re all very handsome,” Aston said, before Ryu jumped in with a laugh, “and buff.” Aston continued, “It was an honor to meet them, and hopefully we’ll have a great day today.”</p><p>Chloe asked the group the question every visiting star gets: &quot; Have they found a favorite Filipino dish yet? Ryu did not hesitate. “Everything matches my taste buds. His team was not letting him off that easily, and once Alex translated the question into Thai, Neo gave in and answered what fans could expect from Team GMMTV on the court. His answer? He jokingly said he can dunk. Then he gave a shoutout to teammate Marc, who he joked could sink a shot from way out on the court.</p><p>Joss backed that up with a story from last year’s GMMTV Starlympics. “Last year in GMMTV Starlympics, he made, I believe, almost a full-court three-point shot in the last two seconds, and it completely changed the score. Overall, the most important thing here is that we want to have fun. We also want to make it competitive because you guys are very good.”</p><p>Gawin echoed the sentiment. “This is an all-star game, so our main goal is to entertain people and have some fun, to put a smile on people’s faces. He shared that he feels especially grateful for the opportunity, since he had to undergo major surgery after winning the celebrity boxing match 10 Fight 10. “I had a lens put inside my eye, so I can no longer spar. I have to be careful. If I get hit in my eye, there’s a chance the lens might move, and I was just getting good,” he said. “But coming back for<em> Round One</em>, my character is an MMA fighter, so there’s a lot more fighting involved, including more striking and Muay Thai. I also get to learn more ground game, which is something I’ve always wanted to do. We can’t wait to give it our best, and at the same time, make sure that we take in every moment, because this moment is very special to us and we don’t want to take it for granted,” Joss said. Neo and Marc leaned hard into their competitive side, and it cost them a bit: Neo walked away with a sprained foot, and Marc took a few tumbles along the way.</p><p>Team Star Magic Philippines ultimately won, 83 to 53, and Team GMMTV Thailand went home with the runner-up trophy.
