"Practical Magic 2" Life Reminders That Will Make You Want to Watch the Sequel of Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman's 1998 Film

<p>Was a sequel necessary? Well, perhaps the better phrase is very much welcome. The fantasy rom-com drama film <em><strong>Practical Magic&nbsp;</strong></em>was released in 1998. It was a different time, obviously. But the endearing story and the powerful tandem of <strong>Sandra Bullock&nbsp;</strong>and <strong>Nicole Kidman</strong><span style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span>are among the reasons it has gained quite a cult following so enduring that it made people want to revisit it 28 years later. Hence, <em><strong>Practical Magic 2</strong></em>.<em></em></p><p>So much has changed since the first film was released, but some things remain, such as viewers&#39; fascination for universal themes like love, family, sisterhood, and women&#39;s empowerment. Midnight margaritas, anyone? Yes, that can still be a thing today.&nbsp;</p><p>Sandra Bullock asked Nicole Kidman why the latter decided to return to the world of <em>Practical Magic</em>:<em></em> &quot;Why now, Nicole? Please share with me, why now for you?&rdquo; Nicole replied, &ldquo;Because you said yes.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p><p>As the story goes, a couple of years ago, Nicole asked Sandra if it was time to do a sequel, but Sandra wasn&#39;t convinced. Expect to cry and laugh, and best of all, expect to leave the theater with a little more appreciation for your sisters or your loved ones in general. Ironically, there are no witches here&mdash;they&#39;re all angels. Fast forward to the present day, the spell develops into a curse that puts any man an Owens woman loves in danger. Despite that, Sally and Gillian meet guys and fall in love. Sally ends up getting married and having two kids; however, proof that the curse exists is that her husband dies in an accident, and so, she vows never to teach her daughters magic. Gillian&#39;s experience is also far from ideal, as she meets an abusive man whom Sally accidentally kills and whose spirit haunts them for the rest of the film.&nbsp;</p><p>Now, in <em>Practical Magic 2&nbsp;</em>(<em></em>directed by <strong>Susanne Bier</strong>, with a screenplay by <strong>Akiva Goldsman</strong>, <strong>Georgia Pritchett</strong>, and <strong>K</strong><strong>elly Marcel</strong>)<strong></strong><strong></strong><strong></strong>, Sally&#39;s daughters are all grown up.
