Michael Seifert had an epic holiday in the Philippines with his family while catching up on some alone time. Taking that much-needed break refueled his drive and passion for everything he does for his modeling agency, TALENTMAN, and the fashion brand SEIFERT.


2023 took him to many destinations, filling his treasure trove with rich experiences that sparked inspiration. He traveled to Cape Town, Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, London, Berlin, Frankfurt and Copenhagen, where he had the privilege to attend Copenhagen Fashion Week.

But during this interview, this “citizen of the world” had just returned to Bali, Indonesia, where he’s based. Sitting across his laptop, Michael was more inspired than ever to slowly transform his passion project into an emerging global fashion boutique brand that caters to a niche market.


From his debut collection “Tropical Beginnings,” Michael is not only wearing the designer and creative director hats, but he’s also giving SEIFERT a more holistic approach by delving deeper into what pieces resonate with his target clientele.

Tropical Beginnings as the base collection serves as a timeless yet relevant springboard for the growth of SEIFERT. With Michael’s second capsule collection, “In Full Bloom,” he has taken his learnings from his first collection and extended them into new styles that will define and solidify SEIFERT’s signature style. “I feel like with this new collection, I took the best pieces and sort of, went into the 2.0 version of that. Plus, introducing new styles to create a nice cohesive collection. So my focus is just really keeping it simple, strong, but very gender neutral because that’s always been what I believed in since I started,” Michael told Metro.Style.


A quick look at the pieces in SEIFERT’s collection does give that sense that there is something for everyone. And that’s because Michael is very mindful of and intentional with his designs. His considerations extend beyond the timeless and multifaceted aspect of aesthetics because he also factors in how the materials will suit the weather in various locations. That will prove instrumental in his foray into a more global landscape. Currently, the brand ships worldwide. SEIFERT is also the first gender-neutral brand and one of the founding premium luxury brands in the new Bali-based marketplace app called SESEH STUDIO.

As an up-and-coming brand, SEIFERT is currently navigating an evolving design process. But Michael said, it always “starts with me creating my dream closet, so to speak, and making sure that based on this whole creation, I collect the feedback and curate as I go.”


Ultimately, Michael’s level of understanding of the market is what adds to SEIFERT’s appeal. With the clientele becoming more and more discerning, he knows the demand for limited-edition and multi-purpose pieces; it’s what he’s so passionate about fulfilling, more so with him as an advocate of slow fashion.


“In Full Bloom’’ will mainly feature neutral pieces in black, off-white, cream, and olive green, but there are also creations in midnight blue, maroon, lavender, rose and lime green. Overall, the palette mood board for SEIFERT’s new collection is cool and classic yet passionate.

The new collection embodies a “resort cruise meets big city life feel with a jet setter, wanderlust component,” Michael shared.


“I want my clothes to reflect people who are stylish, confident, and bold. But I also want them to feel great in them. The fabrics are often breathable and reflect a timeless, effortless and elegant feel. I want anyone in SEIFERT to also feel inspired to mix and match the items… My clients are spread all around the world, it’s been really motivating for me to pursue the brand and take it to new heights with each capsule collection,” he said.


Like a hidden gem of a destination, SEIFERT is proving to be a force to reckon with and a go-to in the emerging landscape for mindful fashion.
