The Thoughtful Details That Went Into Emma Roberts' Monique Lhuillier Wedding Gown

<p>There are beautiful ready-to-wear wedding gowns, and then there are custom bridalwear filled with thoughtful details unique to the bride&#x27;s personality. The latter was the case for <strong>Emma Roberts</strong>, who tied the knot with actor <strong>Cody John</strong>, wearing a bespoke <strong>Monique Lhuillier </strong>masterpiece. The bridalwear looked stunning at a glance, but it became even more beautiful to our eyes when we learned about the thoughtful details incorporated into it.</p><p>Emma Roberts and Cody John&#x27;s wedding happened last July 25 at a private residence in Idaho. She added, &quot;I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress.&quot; Monique achieved that effect, thanks in part to the<strong> </strong>tea-stained color. </p><p>Interestingly, Emma also told <em>Vogue </em>that she wanted to look like &quot;a ghost&quot;—&quot;a little antique ghost doll,&quot; that is. The cloud-like feel this piece exuded helped give off that delicate appearance.<em></em></p><p>Monique and her team completed this wedding gown in nine months, or close to 1,000 hours.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>The custom color</strong></div><p>But it wasn&#x27;t just any color; even its shade was customized for Emma. Monique said that she kicked off this process by transforming the blush pink from her signature collection. With their versatility and practicality, it was easy to see why many brides opt for maximizing their bridal ensembles. We are not new to these &quot;transformer&quot; creations that go from grand designs and silhouettes for the ceremony to shorter, sleeker iterations for the reception and/or after-party. </p><p>In the case of Emma&#x27;s Lhuillier bridal outfit, the designer added character to a strapless dress by incorporating a draped chiffon shawl, also in hand-dipped ecru. The detachable element visually served as an asymmetric neckline, while also presenting the option of styling it as a bridal neck scarf that cascaded at the back elegantly. Like the rest of the ensemble, the veil was also dyed in antique rose for an overall cohesive look. With the veil covering her eyes stylishly, a netizen commented that it was giving a &quot;bridal Zorro&quot; look.
