Read on for a rundown on her beauty and wellness regimen:

Her Morning Routine and Skincare Secrets

Over the years, Cindy has mastered a wellness ritual that is as unconventional as it is effective; and it’s also been an open secret that the key to her radiant skin primarily lies in her morning routine.

Starting her day, Cindy doesn’t just settle for a simple splash of water. She begins her morning routine with a revitalizing ritual that involves an ancient Ayurvedic tradition of scraping the tongue. Tongue scraping entails using a small tool to remove toxins and bacteria that build up on the tongue overnight. While it may appear unusual to some, this practice has become an essential part of Cindy’s daily regimen ever since someone introduced her to it.

Her next wellness secret is dry brushing, a method she’s sworn by for decades: “I’ve liked dry brushing for a long time. I started in my 20s and I’m more religious about it now than ever.” Using a natural bristle brush to massage the skin before showering, this practice is revving up better circulation and detoxification. “Not only do you brush off dead skin, you invigorate your body, stimulate your lymphatic system, reduce cellulite, and decongest your skin,” Cindy explained it as a miracle tool. After showering but before drying off, the supermodel also evenly applies Neutrogena Body Oil all over her skin.

Cindy often incorporates the MB Rose Quartz gua sha tool into her routine for its sculpting benefits. “I love using gua sha on my face in the morning just to remind things to go back where they’re supposed to go, and to take any puffiness away,” Cindy shares her anti-aging drill to wake up her face. “Sometimes, I use the gua sha to apply my day crème.”

No matter her age, Cindy’s skincare prep is perhaps one of the most sought-after beauty secrets in the world. Established her own skincare line, Meaningful Beauty, the model-entrepreneur has her favorites from her brand that carry most of the magic to her glowing skin. “I always use the Youth Activating Melon Serum (and now eye serum),” Cindy revealed. And to seal the deal, she never skips her sunscreen as she tops off the serum with Meaningful Beauty Anti-aging Day crème with Environmental Protection. “This protects my skin from blue light exposure from all my Zoom calls) and of course an SPF of 30,” stated Cindy. Lastly, it’s best to finish it with the Lifting Eye Crème.

For Cindy, detoxification doesn’t stop at her morning routine. She takes it to the next level with regular sessions in an infrared sauna. As a way to cleanse her body and rejuvenate her skin, “I try to go into an infrared sauna for 20 minutes at least once a week,” she divulged. “My homeopathic doctor suggested I get one because it’s good for detoxing.” Unlike traditional saunas which heat the air around you, infrared saunas are not harsh but use therapeutic heat that helps the body to feel more relaxed and improves sleep quality.

And of course, there’s what we call jacuzzi o’clock. Cindy indulges in the jacuzzi more than therapy: “Our jacuzzi is outdoors, and I'm very blessed to live on the ocean." She added, “I usually take two a day - the one at 6.30 in the morning is my gratitude soak, because I'm by myself and the birds are chirping. For the later one, before dinner, my husband (Rande Gerber) will come in with me, so it’s our time to catch up and just enjoy the sunset. The Meaningful Beauty founder has also shared that “jacuzzi counts as a pre-workout bath.”

Her Mindful Movement and Fitness Regimen

Her fitness regimen goes beyond just keeping her supermodel figure in shape. Exercise is as much about mental health as it is about physical health. She enjoys a variety of activities—from strength training and cardio to poolside yoga and Pilates. But one of her favorite forms of exercise is simply going for a walk.

Despite her jet-setting lifestyle, Cindy understands the importance of staying grounded—both literally and figuratively. Listed on her rituals is walking barefoot in the grass, a practice often referred to as earthing or grounding. In her recent interview at The Skinny Confidential, Cindy expressed, “I’m grounding myself,” following her premise that she goes outside pretty much every morning and walks in the grass.

In talks about her workout routine, she revealed doing Pilates for the past decade: “Currently, I do Pilates twice a week on a reformer, which I love.” Even when she experiences lower back pain, she can still engage with certain adjustments to the exercise. “I can do Pilates, because I can modify it. I’ve never gotten hurt doing Pilates,” she said. Although it can be quite challenging at times, the model finds it “very like opening and feminine in a way.”

Cindy mentioned that besides rocking reformer Pilates, she sweats it out twice weekly with a trainer, busting out retro moves like lifting weights, lunging, push-ups, running, and even a StairMaster showdown. With a workout schedule as solid as concrete for four days, she even sneaks in a scenic hike with a friend or a refreshing swim when time allows, for some extra physical activity.

When it comes to nutrition, Cindy believes in balance rather than restriction. Throughout the years, she experimented with “fad” diets but eventually discovered what suited her best. In addition to steering clear of unhealthy carbs such as white bread, she aims to be “80 percent good, 80 percent of the time” with food. Her go-to morning drink is Foursigmatic Coffee but on off days sans coffee, she usually whips up a shake pre-workout. “If I don’t have coffee before my workout, I usually make a shake.  I use almond milk, ¼ banana, a cup of spinach, fresh mint, Ladder Vanilla protein, and a handful of cacao nibs,” she listed.

While she prioritizes healthy eating, she also refrains from harmful vices such as smoking. “I don’t smoke, and I try to drink enough water,” said the supermodel in her interview with The Cut. She added, “Setting realistic goals and having consistency over time is what you notice over the years.” Not to mention, Cindy also is a staunch advocate for the power of sleep.

Well, if we were to recall her famous line: “Even I don’t wake up looking like Cindy Crawford,”—we may say it's a nod to the meticulous effort that goes into her picture-perfect look. But as we unravel the secrets of Cindy Crawford’s beauty and wellness routine, we now best believe that her timeless beauty is the result of years of dedication to her health, both inside and out. As what the supermodel reiterates, “Consistency over time makes the biggest difference.”
