1. Organize a clothing swap.

2. Continue renting for special occasions and renting out my pieces.

3. Declutter every quarter.

1. Embracing sustainable fashion. I am dedicated to supporting sustainable and eco-friendly fashion brands.

2. Donate and recycle clothing. I am committed to decluttering my wardrobe and donating gently used clothing to local charities or clothing drives. I will also explore clothing recycling programs and initiatives to ensure that garments are repurposed or recycled responsibly, rather than adding to waste.

3. Prioritize personal style over trends. I will continue to invest in timeless pieces and curate a versatile wardrobe without feeling pressured to constantly update my clothing collection. This way, I am contributing to a more sustainable approach to fashion.

4. Upcycle clothing. By creatively combining old pieces and crafting new styles through alterations and redesigns, I can minimize the need for new purchases, leading to a more sustainable approach to fashion.

1. Buy quality over quantity. I’ve started to invest in quality clothing, bags, shoes and belts for several years now and this year I want to continue this practice. I found that’s it is more economical to do this because my things last longer and they can be mended to look practically new again.

2. Decluttering my closet every few months. This year I want to really implement this and be able to use every piece in my closet regularly. The things I no longer use, I can sell on my IG closet sale account or donate.

Embracing the spirit of sustainability, my New Year’s fashion resolution is inspired by the belief that style should be a reflection of not just personal taste but also love for our culture and a commitment to the environment. I’ve decided to share the joy of wearing beautiful ternos by donating some of mine—along with prototypes and suits—to Kaayo. We will work towards creating a unique rental service. This not only adds a touch of sustainability to fashion. It also allows more individuals to experience the beauty and craftsmanship of these pieces without the need for excess production.

1. Passing on clothes that I don’t get to wear so much so that the items can be better utilized.

2. Build a more tightly edited wardrobe with less items, but with big impact. This means putting more thought into each purchase and seeing whether it speaks to me on a deeper level.

3. Supporting smaller designers and craftsmen, to promote and encourage the preservation and development of skills.

My fashion new year resolution would be to buy more quality and classic pieces instead of hoarding fast fashion pieces that won’t last in my wardrobe.

1. To be a proud outfit repeater. Gone are the days where I’m conscious of what people will think of what I wear. I’m happy I found what style suits me and not be ashamed of wearing my favorite pieces over and over again.

2. Do a closet audit or inventory & clear out consciously — It’s a great habit every start of a new year, just to track what you own and what pieces you want to keep or purge or donate. This is also a reminder to be accountable of what we shop for, ensuring new pieces pair with existing items and avoiding duplicates. Plus! I get to find hidden gems I haven’t worn for a long time.

3. My sister and I will continue to sell our pre-loved items for them to have a second life, and to make sure nothing goes to waste.
