No wedding is complete without something new, something blue, and something borrowed. We’re here to give you that special hint of something new. With Filipino designers pushing fashion boundaries more and more everyday, it comes as no surprise that we’ve been seeing more modern bridal wear year after year.

While brides blush beautifully with simplicity, designers like Michael Cinco and Francis Libiran have been bringing out more of their glamorous elegance through the use of full voluminous skirts. This creates a balance of the bride’s beauty from head-to-toe.

We’re also seeing more and more fabric manipulation and draping that creates a continuity of movement between a gown’s bodice and skirt as seen in some of Rajo Laurel and Michael Levya’s recent designs. These designs also add an innovative and futuristic aspect to the gowns while also adding a touch of sophistication.

Last, but not the least, we’ve also been seeing classic wedding elements come back and be used in a fresher perspective.

Monique Lhuillier have been making use of beautiful white floral lace on her gowns. Vania Romoff was recently recognized by The Wed for perfecting the bubble skirt trend in bridal wear. We just love the youthfulness these elements bring to the overall look of the bride!
