<p>American designers have undoubtedly been one of the biggest shapers of the fashion industry today. With a contemporary taste for the unconventional and an aspiration for liberation, its grasp on style has moved beyond fashion as a mere industry of garments and dressing. Rather, under the American vision, fashion has become punctuated as a reflection of the times, a vehicle from which diversified representation and modern advancement are made possible. And, it is exactly this that the <strong>Council of Fashion Designers of America</strong> (CFDA) has been celebrating since its inception.</p><div><br/></div><p>In the name of fashion, the CFDA has been honoring the most notable American talents each year. For 2024, the likes of <strong>Michael Kors</strong> (Positive Change Award), <strong>Daniel Roseberry</strong> (International Designer of the Year), <strong>Willy Chavarria</strong> (Menswear Designer, 2nd consecutive win), Diotima’s <strong>Rachel Scott</strong> (Womenswear Designer), <strong>Henry Zankov</strong> (Emerging Designer), and Luar’s <strong>Raul Lopez</strong> (Accessories Designer) were honored with some of CFDA’s most coveted titles. Another highlight of the night, of course, was the Fashion Icon Award whose previous recipients include Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Zendaya. For their CFDA debuts, <strong>Pia Wurtzbach</strong> and <strong>BJ Pascual</strong> made their way to New York City to join some of the industry’s biggest names. In an eye-catching red, Pia wore a Carolina Herrera gown paired with her signature Bvlgari jewels. Donning Rick Owens, BJ wore a ruched velvet ensemble that added a soft glow to the white carpet. </p><div><br/></div><p>We’ve rounded up some of our favorite looks from the night.
