The entire awards season has led to this moment. This year’s line-up of actors, directors, casts, and crew flocked to the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood to celebrate their achievements in film, the 96th Academy Awards was truly the most anticipated awards ceremony this season.

Before the ceremony, the actors delivered their very best fashion performances on the red carpet—concluding a thrilling awards season with their best ensembles. Couture proved to be the common theme this season. Not one outfit looked identical on the red carpet.

Anya Taylor-Joy’s Christian Dior Haute Couture look took inspiration from the designer’s Fall/Winter 1949/1950 collection. The incredible silver-gray piece featured petal-shaped flaps that cascaded into a subtle train. Anya looked phenomenal!

Emma Stone and Emily Blunt each had their moment on the red carpet in their custom Louis Vuitton looks. Emma opted for a minimal but high impact ensemble while Emily shined in her sequined pastel look. Margot Robbie surprisingly wore black at the Oscars. She wore a Versace Fall/Winter 2024 dress that featured a gathered detail on the waist—and there was not even a hint of pink to be seen. Those who had a Barbie moment on the red carpet were Ariana Grande in a voluminous Giambattista Valli look and Zendaya who donned a sparkling Armani Privé evening gown.

Metro’s Best Dressed at the Oscars is Carey Mulligan. The actress never failed to impress us with her red carpet looks this season. From her gilded gown at the SAG Awards to her bejeweled look for the Golden Globes, Carey has truly mastered the art of quiet luxury and natural beauty.
