Uniqlo Debuts Clare Waight Keller’s First F/W Collection As Creative Director

Soft tones and refined silhouettes define the new era of Uniqlo.

Following the announcement of British fashion designer Clare Waight Keller as the Creative Director of the main line collections, her first collection is out now. The ‘UNIQLO: C Fall/Winter 2024 Collection Spirit of a Modern City’ captures the rapid pace of city life while providing comfort and timeless style.

For the first time, a menswear collection featuring everyday essentials is included in the Fall/Winter 2024 collection. Soft tones dominate this collection, with fine broadcloth shirts cut in an oversized silhouette contrasting with the iconic lambswool blends in a high V-neck and felted knitted tailored jacket. These pieces pair perfectly with relaxed items such as parachute pants, sweats, and a utility parka. Finish off the look with a soft-volume nylon tote bag and sleek monotone low-cut sneakers.

In the womenswear collection, fine cashmere blends and new ultra-smooth, warm HEATTECH items serve as a base layer for styling. Lightweight knitted cashmere in soft tones comes in a cropped vest and crew cardigan. Lightly-padded shrunken sleeveless jackets layered over bias dresses in trad checks, pleated skirts, or slim rib merino knits add depth to the collection. The look is finished with soft padded clogs, a hooded neck warmer, and fluffy soft fringe stoles for added warmth and comfort.

“I am thrilled to be launching menswear alongside womenswear for the new collection. I have always loved the interplay between the utility of men’s clothing with the feminine elements of womenswear. These collections see the two combine seamlessly in palette, fabrication and style, creating a wardrobe of truly interchangeable pieces.” said Clare Waight Keller
