Truth be told—prepping our brows is part of our daily beauty routine, but doing it can carve out a serious amount of time from our schedule. Our arches are top priority, and having a pair that is always on fleek adds aesthetic to our overall appearance.
That is why total brow trends are taking the beauty sphere by storm these days—to transform the regular and ordinary to the rich and extra. Our eyebrows, after all, are due for a makeover that they much deserve.
Take for example this microblading technique that most celebrities go for in case of eyebrow emergencies—eyebrow sculpting. The procedure entails the service of a professional eyebrow expert, who utilizes unique techniques to treat the brows.
Kathleen “Keighty” Wong, the eyebrow sculpting expert to the stars and Strokes Eye Beauty Studio co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, is the fairy brow mother to wish upon if you want to make your brows fuller.

If you are dying to flaunt an au naturel arch like those of Bela Padilla and Nadine Lustre, Keighty will lead the way. If anything, whether you love a made-up look or a more natural makeover, this cosmetics professional creates timeless strokes and shapes.
Having trained in at least three countries abroad, Keighty’s credentials are nothing short of nuclear. She sought the best schools in the globe to polish her gift in the art of cosmetics, and acquired her knowledge from key players and esteemed professionals.
Keighty earned her education at Phi Academy in Moscow, Russia, where she was certified as a Bold Brow Artist. She took up classes from Nataliya Yeremenko in Manchester, England, and from PrincessBrows in Hong Kong.
Symmetry, balance, and alignment are key to achieving the perfect eyebrows. The perpetually-groomed look gives us confidence no matter the occasion, and it minimizes our need for cosmetic products.
The microblading path allows us to select what suits our appearance best by means of mapping, a technique employed by estheticians to tame the shape of our eyebrows. An essential part of the process, brow shaping is the first step to a beautiful set of arches.
In my case, I consulted with Strokes Eye Beauty Studio’s shaping assistant, Chanel Lleva. We started discussing my personal preferences and she mapped the style that I suggested. Bold and bushy is my best bet, so I went for that sculpting technique.
After the shaping and consultation, an anesthetic cream is applied to the target area of treatment and is left there for at least 40 minutes. Afterward, the microblading session starts with the use of a single-use tool that consists of multiple microneedles connected to a handle.
The hair-like incisions left on the dermis of the skin are deposited pigments. The sculpting procedure begins by filling in the sparse spaces first. The pigment application and photolite therapy follows thereafter.
At first, I was hesitant to try the microblading treatment as I highly fear that it might turn into a disaster. It was an impossible “okay” from me as I often pluck, shape, and prep my own eyebrows as opposed to most who go to salons to get them done and tamed.
Contrary to the classic myths of microblading, meanwhile, I actually enjoyed the entire process. Keighty Wong’s professional approach and magical hands made it possible for me to pursue eyebrow sculpting, and I must say that it was even almost painless.
After taking my trial, I loved the results and the look was so natural and sophisticated—not too faint, not too dark, and definitely worth it. I need not waste much of my time on finishing touches anymore, and makeup application is not that necessary.
Overall, I attest to the outstanding service of Keighty Wong and the staff. They were all very accommodating and while I was there, I felt a homey and friendly atmosphere, too. An aftercare guide was given to me as well, making it easy for me to execute the recovery routine.
