Kamala Harris Wears Custom Chloé Suits During The Democratic National Convention

As the first South Asian and Black woman candidate for President of the United States, it’s important to talk about Kamala Harris. From her plans and advocacies to the statement looks she’s been wearing, everything about her is headline-worthy. 

For Harris, political style seems to be about personality and productivity, not policy messaging or party uniform. A lot of her charm comes from the fact that she has never been overtly strategic about her clothes.

Her choice to wear Chloé twice during the Democratic National Convention was an interesting one, mainly because it’s a hugely popular brand right now, currently helmed by newly-appointed Creative Director Chemena Kamali. 

During the first night, she commanded a room full of supporters in a sand-colored suit styled with a white untied pussy-blow blouse from Chloé. She looked cool, commanding, and sharp, but also totally and completely herself. 

On a more recent occasion, Kamala officially accepted the nomination for President of the United States in a historic speech addressing her past, her present, and her future. She opted for a square-shouldered, loose-legged navy pantsuit, also from Chloé. The subdued tone allowed the women in the audience who chose to wear white in honor of her candidacy to pop.
