Lulu Tan-Gan “Crafts Fashion” For The Red Charity Gala 2024

In a night of fashion and charity, the Red Charity Gala celebrated Philippine craftsmanship, heritage, and a collection from the “Queen of Knits”, herself.

<p>When Philippine talent comes together in the name of our heritage, birthed are creations woven together with a cultural strength that could only be conceived from Filipino soil. The<strong> Red Charity Gala</strong> is an example of one of those moments. Held last October 22 at the Shangri-La the Fort, by the organization of chairpersons Tessa Prieto and Kaye Tinga, guests joined together for a night of fashion for a cause.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img loading="lazy" src="https://assets-metrostyle.abs-cbn.com/prod/metrostyle/attachments/2b86f30b-ac98-40a3-8ac0-90f3a34ada66_1.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt=""/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The 13th Red Charity Gala was held last October 22, featuring Lulu Tan-Gan.</span></span></span></div><p>For over a decade, the Red Charity Gala has been featuring one special designer (with the exception of its 2019 event, featuring all 10 designers from previous years) to define the night. Its history of creatives spans Dennis Lustico, Furne One, Michael Cinco, Cary Santiago, Ezra Santos, Jojie Lloren, Lesley Mobo, Chito Vijandre, Joey Samson, Rajo Laurel, and Ivarluski Aseron. This year, for its 13th event, the Gala’s designer of the night was none other than the “Queen of Knits” herself, <strong>Lulu Tan-Gan</strong>. </p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:950px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img loading="lazy" src="https://assets-metrostyle.abs-cbn.com/prod/metrostyle/attachments/8f1c2e8f-06e8-4e7b-8115-fd561ea4943c_2.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt=""/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Lulu Tan-Gan’s creations highlight a celebration of our heritage and a commitment to sustainability.</span></span></span></div>An avid advocate of sustainability, it was only apt that the designer showcased a collection that encapsulated her farm-to-fashion approach with creations that pay an ode to the crafts of our heritage.
