Why Actor Zaijian Jaranilla Almost Lost His Opportunity of a Lifetime

His stint in the hit series “May Bukas Pa” is truly a miraculous tale

Recently, Kapamilya artist Zaijian Jaranilla sealed another contract deal with ABS-CBN, and it seems that he is still on cloud nine because of this new milestone. New realizations materialized, too, and he is more than grateful to have been given the chance to remain connected to the network. As he nears his second decade in showbiz, he harked back on his humble beginnings.

Grabe ’yung dalawang dekada.

When asked what sparks his drive and determination despite his many years, Zaijian mused on his source of strength.

The Senior High actor almost shed a tear but tried to suppress it with a smile. “Teka lang, ba’t nakakaiyak? Ano ba ’to? Interview lang, e!” He stopped for a moment to collect himself and hurried to make a comeback.

Meanwhile, on the subject of being a Kapamilya, Zaijian thinks he is blessed enough to be experiencing such great situations—good or bad may it be.

Zaijian’s families—according to him—biological or in business, have also been with him throughout the beginning up until his big break in May Bukas Pa. Having played the role of Santino, he recalled how people used to be unwavering in terms of supporting him.

Zaijian held back his tears as he walked us through how he began in entertainment, his emotions overflowing.

His iconic role as Santino in the inspirational teleserye was something that Zaijian never expected to nail. He feels indebted to ABS-CBN forever because of this break, and that explains the tears forming in his eyes. Tapos, hanggang sa nagtuluy-tuloy na,” he added, emotional and full of wonder.

Wide-eyed and tongue-tied even, Zaijian struggled to speak.

Now that Zaijian is no more a little man, he knows how to keep his career flourishing. In whatever field, Zaijian carries with him his sense of camaraderie.
